Does anyone else get the sensation now
That they are no longer playing a action strategy game, but rather a rhythm game?
Trying to just hit the right keys at the predefined time?

No, only burst mages really feel that way. For example a good anne Sends out incinerate first while its traveling, when its almost there she drops Tibbers on them then W's for a flat out one shot
Except that it's true for many of the other champions too. When it comes to auto resets, and animation canceling. It's less important that you anticipate and play a few steps in advance, and more important that you hit the keys in the most optimal pace to how the champion works, which tends to be consistent across most every context.
They are slowly removing auto canceling for champions like riven and Vi who don't even need it.
I mean, if they did it in a smart way then that wouldn't be a problem. Except it's done in a way which you would never, not want to auto reset every chance you get. Like i said, in every context it's just the better way to play the champion.
Life is just a giant QTE.
