Which champs do you feel need to be next for VGUs next year?
Basic question that we have to keep coming back to every now and again as VGUs finish. With Swain coming relatively soon(ish), hopefully sometime around early-mid January, that means one spot is going to be opening up for VGUs with the other 4 (more info about that here: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/ViujrdbX-the-projects-for-every-designer-on-the-champions-team-for-2018-so-far )
Nevertheless, with that news in mind we now have to start theorizing and/or asking for which champions we want to see get updated next. And from my personal list:
-
- Let's face it! He needs a VGU possibly above everyone else! Everyone says he's super bad this season and I think they have good points (not going to go over them here, go find them yourselves). He's also one of the few champs that's the oldest in the game and because of that it shows in both visuals and gameplay. He's just a bore to play in my case with no real damaging spells outside of his ult and fucking snowballs. I also don't get the fantasy of being a yeti rider. Most of the time I feel like I'm just the yeti instead with some kid on my back that occasionally throws snowballs. -
- Pantheon I personally feel needs to be this high on my list simply because he doesn't feel well to play against. With the new runes, mainly with Manaflow Band and Aery, Pantheon has just become more oppressive in lane against. Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with him constantly pushing me out of lane with his spears with no consequence or counter as an all melee with no poke whatsoever. He's just super oppressive in lane with little counter to him except maybe somehow getting help from jungle and somehow surviving to out-scale him. -
- And thus completes the new Holy Trinity. Mord's Juggernaut rework just outright failed. He became too oppressive as a melee bot laner, got nerfed back to going solo lane, which makes his new dragon ghost passive a bit pointless since he's usually so far away in top, and he's ridden with bugs all around. He's also had the problem of having his secondary shield health bar which in hindsight isn't that healthy to play against. Not to mention pizza feet still. He needs a proper rework to bring him in line with the rest of the juggernauts and just fix all the overall problems he has. -
- Let's face it, Voli is just bad at the moment. Nobody plays him enough to even get data on him (check na.op.gg if you don't believe). He doesn't feel that satisfying to play. He's just a champ made by Riot at the time to serve as the bear champ but doesn't feel that special. Q I rarely feel like I go faster towards enemies and has no slow resistance to try and catch them, W is tied to bonus health and doubles as an execute (one of my personal reasons why his power budget is in that), E is decent but ult is shit. It doesn't feel like an ultimate ability to say Darius or Karthus or anyone else that has an ultimate. It feels lackluster and boring and a basic ability if adjusted enough. -
- HE! NEEDS! TO BE! REWORKED! ENTIRELY! I despise Tryndamere! He's just not fun to play against or as. Riot talked about buffing him but I say no, he needs a VGU. All he ever does is split push, non-stop, and makes the game a 4v4 with you to babysit him if you can somehow fight him. Not to mention that he can passively get 35% crit from lvl 1, which many people have been bitching about crit for some time now. His ult is pretty much busted to be activated at any time, even in CC, or else he becomes useless. Everything about Tryndamere I just despise over and is the only one that I really have to push all others for to put him in my top 5.
------Runner ups------

And try to remember this is just my list of choices. But what are your choices?
- Really boring kit and playing style, a single ítem hard counters him, and he has the graphics of a Nintendo 64 games.
could use one.
One dimensional champion, an unkillable nightmare for everyone below Plat and completely useless above. A middle ground would be nice.
: Splash Art, In-game Model(?), and small passive change.
Full.
In-Game Model.
In-Game Model.
as GU candidates, as they could use the
treatment.

got class update level reworks.
They and
are basically the Divers update.
have good and modern visuals but outdated kits.
We were told to expect a VGU a few years back, then it was put off. The assassin rework was a placeholder that out her in a weird place.
She's not very interactive to play against, and not very interesting to play as unless you pop off. I main her, but after spamming Kat, I now see everyone's problems with her. She's a stat check on legs.
Just to see her dumpstered by the "balance team" just like they did to Rengar.
His playstyle is still run really fast and rightclick statcheck you until you die. Also pizza feet.
Someday he'll be balanced..
He's not weak, but his kit could be better or more thematic. He's on beginner player level of difficulty
Boring kit
Outdated kit
Riot made a statement a couple months after A.Sol's release that he needs a rework due to him being "lackluster, strong in high elo only with no chance of low elo playing him, etc" It's been about a year since his release and I want some answers from riot tbh.
then after that
