There's no need for a system to compensate for, or deal with AFKs and DCs

Because chances are that you'll be matched against as many AFKs and DCs as you will be matched with, so in the end it evens out!

Says the LoL community and Riot in aims to justify AFK/DC games.

Here's a translation:

Your time does not fucking matter. The 20, 30, 40 minutes that you poured into that 4v5 game where you struggled against and eventually succumbed to the inevitable? It does not matter. That last promo game that you pinned your hopes on? It doesn't fucking matter. What matters is that you shut up and play the game, and endure lopsided and unfair matches like all those who came before you, because they put up with that shit and so should you. Plus, in the grand scheme of things those minority AFK/DC/Troll games won't mean much once you've played hundreds of games like the other guys. Then, once you've racked up a game count you'll join The Other Guys and make it your mission to shove The Argument down as many newbie throats as possible; that AFK/DC/Troll games are of no consequence since eventually, in an ideal world, it'll all even out anyway.

Simply put, this is merely a reminder that it's been 5 years and there is not a single system in place to compensate for AFKs or rectify matches that are lopsided from the start due to a member being incapable of connecting. Five years. Other MOBAs have systems in place to compensate teams with AFKs. Other MOBAs also have better systems that allow for uneven games to be disbanded straight away, saving players from having to play a 4v5 and allowing them to requeue, or even kicking the member that fails to connect and drafting in a new one.

LoL? All LoL has is some system called Leaver Buster. Legend has it that if someone continuously AFKs and DCs they may be punished by Leaver Buster, but clearly none have thought it significant enough to tell the tale.
