This is not a hate letter.
It is an appeal. I have seen what happens with champions that certainlyT makes. Over and over and over. They are either broken as hell and end up getting nerfed appropriately, but then because of those nerfs, are now too subpar to be worth picking over better options. You have your exceptions, like Thresh, and MAYBE Mordekaiser (although I won't give him any credit for Morde's current niche because the balance team gave that back to him after CT screwed him with his poop touch).
It happened with Kalista, it happened with Morde, it's happening with Zoe, it'll happen with Akali.
CertainlyT. Please. You need to stop running under your own rules. I'm going to be frank with you. A LOT of the current mobility and damage creep problems this game has are indirectly caused by your champion designs. Yasuo showed that it was okay to have a champion that didn't choose between damage and mobility. Kalista reinforced this, but dialed up to an 11. The Graves rework showed Riot that it was okay to prioritize a champion's ability to make plays and delete people OVER whether or not interacting with it was satisfying (it wasn't.) and that led them to allowing you to make Zoe, who is literally a worse Graves in that she could blow your ass up from off screen.
Do you know what Akali is going to do? It's going to tell Riot, "Hey, you don't need to choose between anything anymore on champions. Akali literally has it all. Sustain, mobility, high damage, bullshit mechanic that is basically an extended/spammable Fizz E. This new design only serves to reinforce everything currently wrong with the game.
You're getting faster games, I know you want them. But you are also sacrificing player permanence for it. You're not Overwatch, you're not Battlerite. League distinguished itself by being the log game. The game you couldn't just sit down and win in 15 minutes. You had to TRY, to be PATIENT. It made it WORTH winning, and when you lost, it made you want to try again and win. Right now, the games are decided by the 10 minute mark, and your impact on the game is severely dampened compared to what it used to be. Each game feels like a coin flip.
If you had the ability to actually leave a game before it was over with no punishment, no game of league would ever be finished to completion. That should tell you something.
