How to explain a friend....

Hi, i have a friend who plays almost exclusively mid lane (Malzahar).

How can i make him understand the following points ?

A) When i tell him to buy wards, he responds "buying wards is losing 75 gold and gifting the opponent 30 gold".

B) He is always pushed, according to him "to kill the tower fast and deny the opponent farm", and while doing this, he asks for ganks and also complains when the enemy ganks him. Other (new) argument he made about this is "if im always pushed, then how did i lose my tower ?". (which happened after mid game grouping or when he is dead from a gank or whatnot)

**C) **Last and least he only uses because "its the only one that you can teleport to"

We are constantly having arguments because of this. So how would you explain this to him ?

(some argument, or even some explanatory video, whatever)

You don't explain it to him.

If he is so persistent about it, do not bother. These people need to learn from trial and error. Let him play a few hundred ranked games, and he'll soon realize his mistakes. And also get placed in Bronze.

M8... he rushes item 3146 on Malzahar. Some people just play this game for fun, and your friend is clearly someone who doesn't care about being competitive or playing good. Just let him play what he wants and try to have fun together.

Trash is trash.

Even rational trash is still trash.

He sounds like someone who is too lazy to sit down and think about the problem.

From what you said:

He suffers from pushing too hard and gets ganked.

He needs to get his head out of his ass and realize he is playing Malzahar, the former prophet now turned fraud fortune teller, who is also an "IMMOBILE MAGE"

This means that as a champion who cannot use any skills other than ghost or flash to get away, he is easy pickings for ganks especially when they have CC.

If he wants to avoid the ganks, he'll have to have vision of them before he is ganked.

Well how dafuk do you do that? Its not like there aren't a few vision items in the game.

As far as the gold argument is. If he is dumb enough or is not cautious enough to be susceptible to ganks, Is the 300 - 550 or so gold they get from your death plus assists and/or first blood worth more or less than 75 gold of perma vision or 30 gold of vision that pauses an enemy for four auto attacks letting you know where they are?

If he can't understand that he is doomed to a life of failure.

Its not that hard to look at a problem and find a root cause.

Edit: If it sounds like I'm being harsh, I'm just upset that this is what Malzahar mains have been reduced to. Even old Malzahar you wouldn't mindlessly push. You were like an antlion setting up its pit. You spawn your voidling and time it to grow halfway through adult and if they take a wrong step, you E to sick your frenzied voidling on them and Q as they ran away for example.
