Can Teemo's shrooms procing not cancel homeguard?

The same could be said of many champions like Nid and Malz.

It hits Teemo the hardest but I have no qualms with him paying a price for that level of map presence.

Yh because you don't main him and simply don't understand that he has lost his map pressure a while back when his mushroom time got nerfed. Please get to learn that teemo is a troll pick as of 2k17.

He's not that troll, honestly, it just requires better planning. Maxing out your cooldown actually lets you place more shrooms in a shorter time than before his ult rework, so they're much better as siege and counter-engage utility. But the last thing I want to do is be late to a teamfight because I had to back for mana and some asshat on the other team accidentally tripped a mine. Honestly, I'm fine with Nid and Malz getting similar help.

Like, I get I shouldn't be able to hide in base and bolt right in to secure a kill after somebody trips my shroom, but at the very least make it so that when a mine goes off across the map at the enemy base I'm not stonewalled immediately. Put a range limit on "in-combat", that'd fix the issue.

His shrooms damage was nerfed a while back but the last rework allowed him to throw shrooms but his ult time got reduced by half (5mins). If he was to have the same map control he'll need twice as less cooldown than before. Lastly i don't know if i want to max CDR just for shrooms i.e. teemo requires these items as an AP burst champ item 3146 item 3100 item 3151 item 3135

Then you'll buy boots and one of these item 3089 item 3285 . This will give you only 10% CDR only but it will allow you to kill squishies with Q + AA + AA (TL) and that way you can make a surprise attack using your passive.

You can however go item 3115 but i still wouldnt buy item 3158 to max my CDR. If you replace with item 3100 , you wont be able to burst as well. Tbh i also wouldnt go just for CDR as item 3020 is so much better. Teemo has many build paths and different build paths can work in different match-ups but from my own past experience, maxing CDR just to place more shrooms is not the best way to play teemo.

As for the homeguard being disabled then i believe teemo was balanced around his shrooms having very few counters i.e. oracles is one and buying MR but tbh buying MR can go for any AP damage based ability. Thus i don't believe homeguard needs to be disabled whenever someone trips over a mushroom (regardless of you getting a kill or not). This should apply to all champs that have traps that deal damage i.e. shaco.

item 3157 item 3165 item 3102 All valid, strong items on Teemo. Void is also a redundant item on him just due to his nature - unless the enemy tank is hardly getting scratched by the rest of your team, Liandry's % damage will still chunk tanks fairly well and most of your time will be spent nailing squishies in the head. It's rather rare I end up being forced to grab a Void and usually I have room to spare for a good CDR item.

I also don't build Gunblade. That's just me, though. It's clearly strong, I just don't, be that a plus or minus with my build path.

He's a troll pick with his healthy 50% win rate? He may not be the strongest pick top lane right now, but he is far from the worst.

He is one of the oldest League champs and has a really good dedicated fanbase. The reason why he maintains a good winrate is because he is a ranged top lane that can go hybrid therefore has many diverse build paths. He literally is a troll pick in every game i play and every game i watch on youtube, not to mention the last time a teemo was picked in LCS was by MISTAKE and obviously it was a rather huge mistake which cost them the top lane. Also he lost against Gnar who people say teemo counters.

There are plenty of champions that have never been played competitively, that doesn't make them not viable. The competitive scene is very different from soloQ. You can't judge a champion's strength strictly based on the competitive environment. Teemo is not a trollpick. Off meta? Maybe. Straight up trolling? No.

His dedicated mains will obviously not pick him as a troll pick but let me tell you one thing that i learned from watching many masters/diamond teemo mains; that they are all one trick ponies with him and obviously have a really good game awareness. Teemo players even level 7 mastery feed their ass off because of how close he has to get in to AA and how squishy he is and vulnerable to CC. Your W no longer makes you into a mobile champ when mobility creep is so bad now. Tbh even worse than teemo is singed which i have never seen someone play him properly or not troll (maybe he was designed for that purpose) but teemo can also very well be troll pick many times. He won't see pro play in 1000 years when so many other champs much better than him exist. Galio never saw a pro play until he was reworked and now he is a really popular pick in LCS. He isn't overpowered but his kit is packed with many useful things such as his global Ult and even a dash for someone so tanky. How is teemo's W even comparable alas the passive on it is juicy in lane to poke with.
