Swain is barely viable, I tried playing swain against a vlad. Vlad has way more poke, manaless sustain and can easily dodge/absorb your root.

Nah man, he is cool.

Get over your rocky early lvl 1-5 by playing safe, and proceed to make Vlad cry every time he sees you.

Vlad has to use his own HP every time he wants to poke, hence before he gets a Revolver he won't all in and harass too many times on you.

As a heavy Vlad player, I hate this matchup so much. Makes me want to surrender from loading screen

You're just inexperienced. Vlad should get bullied pretty hard until the mid game after he has items.

I don't think Vlad is overly strong right now, but I do agree that he's one of the most obnoxious/boring champions to lane against. Not as bad as Nasus, but still a pain. His strong late game scaling just makes him this ticking time bomb, and once he gets his hextech revolver there is literally no way of shoving him out of lane without some really good ganks and ignite.

Really the only skill I think should be changed is his q. The rest of his kit is at least semi-engaging and interesting to play against, but his q is just the most boring point-and-click eat-this-damage-to-the-face-and-watch-it-heal-me bullshit ability ever.

As a Vladimir player i can say, he has pretty hard match ups, but if you play them right you might succeed, also he has a resource, his own HP..so what more than that.
