If you call "support" and don't buy a even when asked to, know you are getting reported.

If you don't want to buy a , just don't call support.

They even added those flashy upgrades so you'd buy it without excuse.

Do I hate it when a support doesn't prioritize vision? Yes.

Is it reportable and am I going to report it anyway? No.

If you report for things like that, your reports are going to lose weight. Also, as RedSkyss already mentioned, there are circumstances in which you don't necessarily gain an advantage by rushing Sightstone; on a support that focuses on damage you can get it a little later so your kill potential is much stronger instead. If the enemy jungler is good at avoiding vision (Evelynn) or simply won't gank early (Diana, Yi with TP) then the early vision doesn't do you as much good either.

It depends on the circumstance whether you rush it or not. But even if they don't get it at all, it's not reportable. If a player sucks then they suck, and that is allowed.

im not saying they dont "rush it" im saying when they refuse to buy it altogether for the entire game, even when the enemy team is heavy on roaming and they are asked to get it as its their job.

they not knowing is one thing, the problem is when they are asked to get it (as its they role) and they say stuff like "you get it"

Your definition is far too strictly attached to the popular meta. You have no idea what you're talking about, because kill lane supports are a thing. They provide tremendous pressure to get early kills for a snowball advantage, and if they do well they have the strength of a solo laner.

It simply isn't popular right now.

a support can poke during lane, but they shouldn't just build like if they would in a solo lane, support items should be present or the teams just ends up without something it needs.

Ok, lets say you get fed in lane because the kill support, and as he refuses to buy item 2049 , you end you end up getting destroyed due to constant ambushes in the jungle and poor objective control, the 4/0 ends up becoming 4/10 and then its the fault of the rest of the team because - hey, i did well during lane.

If you're refusing to get any vision out because you're a "kill support" and you're getting ganked for it, that's a problem of the player, not the fact that he's running a kill lane.

As a Zyra support, Im not getting that. Wards are free and Im getting a item 3092 . You have a ward too, and its free. Learn to use it.

Then you're actively hindering the efforts of your team. The warding trinket, especially now, doesn't begin to replace having a sightstone as well as a sweeping lens. Now that top laners (especially ones that split push) and ADCs should probably be taking the blue trinket, having stealth wards on the map is the support's burden more than ever.

I mean, I'm not going to report you over it, but don't pretend that you're not actively hurting the team.

I didn't know you could get reported for going against the META...That's new to me. If you could, could you please show me the excerpt from the Summoner's Code which states that players refusing to play META champions, roles, or use META items is reportable?

If someone calls Support, they don't need Sightstone off the bat. Supports need gold income so building their gold income item up or an item that can allow them to sustain themselves is sometimes a better choice. And the trinket is good enough until around 10 minutes in, sometimes longer if the team isn't incompetent and doesn't know how to put down those purdy little things. If I play Zilean as a support I build Tear before Sightstone. It isn't always an issue and only is when my team doesn't know how to ward. Also with pinks being cheaper I can buy those instead.

that happens too, i've seen the kinds of "Darius support" who refuse to buy any support items, and/or duos that only want to be together even if that ends up screwing all the team compositions and leaving us without support/vision.

What Im trying to point out is that if you don't go support everyone loses their shit and will report you regardless of buying or not a ward item. Vision is a team effort, thats why you can't place more than 3 wards now, because no one bought and used them even if the support only had boots because "Im too retarded to place a ward so let the support do it"

i agree in that everyone on the team should contribute somehow to vision, but for a reason item 2049 is a required item for supports, they are the ones who should be laying the most wards, able to put multiple wards in required positions (like drags, etc) and that frees their trinket so they can get item 3364 and deny vision to the enemy team

item 3092 and free wards is plenty of vision. Please don't tell me how to play support, I'll get you fed or get myself fed trying. Thats what I do, and when you don't need a babysitter anymore I'll move onto the next lane.
