Stop rewarding people for playing like brainless monkeys

Players like this should not be able to reach Diamond.

I had this thing supporting me. It tried a ridiculous cheese at level 1 that had 0% chance of success and died. And then it kept trying to cheese, without any consideration for the minion wave or the location of the enemy jungler. It had absolutely no idea how to play intelligently; every time it got back to lane, it immediately tried to go all in, even when we were down 4 kills. It was indistinguishable from intentional feeding, and on top of that, it didn't even have basic game knowledge; they didn't know where to place wards, and they kept using all of their shield charges on caster minions.

Looking at this player's history, it's obvious that they always play like this. They have double digit deaths in every game, sometimes almost 1 death / 2 minutes. It's basically a brainless monkey, yet it still somehow manages to succeed like this, presumably by snowballing when the level 1 cheese succeeds.

This is totally fucking unacceptable. Decision making and strategic skill should be a requirement for winning games, not something that is optional.

Every single one of those games has a positive KDA. Most of them also have over 50% kill participation. And just from the sample size you presented, they have over a 50% win rate.

You don't get to decide how other people play.

I can sort of see where OP is coming from.

I have a friend who plays very closely to the strategy OP mentioned, and is a bit high ranked. It's a valid strategy but it is not a good time for the adc they're paired up with.

Their strategy is basically to attempt a cheese, if it works, you snowball and you basically force feed the adc. If it fails, he tries once more. Then if that fails, he patiently waits for level 6, and roams to attempt to cc lock someone in a different lane down and to try and force feed a different laner.

It's not a pleasant situation for the adc what-so-ever. There isn't any cooperation or attempts at trying to play the lane out. It either succeeds or the adc ends up squaring off 1v2 against opponents that were fed a couple kills, and are more farmed due to how the power balance is in that lane.

50% kill participation is standard, and even a bit low, considering they're literally just playing for kills and nothing else. Bottom lane has 40% of the players in the game, 60% with the jungle. Once the turret is down and the support rotates to mid, they're around 60-80% of the players in the game while the ADC catches up.

If my support's gameplay is something that's indistinguishable from intentional feeding and only works well at lower levels of play, I should have a say in it.

Please refrain from posting in threads about gameplay at a high level, you have no valid input to give.

Aren't you Diamond V 0 LP that has less than 50 % kill participation in 90 % of your games?

I had 62% win rate from Platinum III to Diamond V after I decayed. I've been up to Diamond I. Spamming games to get past the cesspool of boosted and toxic players at Diamond V just isn't fun and takes too long.

idk, as a support player myself, I am loving those assist numbers and how many wards he buys. Seems like he frequently dies for a good cause.

although im gold, i have the decision making of a low silver player.

i climbed my way to gold with map awarness, teamfighting and communication. if he got way worse decision making than you, that means he is way better than you in something else. if it wasnt the case, he might be boosted (but would probably be doing way worse)

It was indistinguishable from intentional feeding

I dunno, looking at those KDAs, item builds, and wards purchased, it looks pretty distinguishable from int feeding. Heck, even soft inting doesn’t end up woth scores like that. Yeah that’s a decent number of deaths, but it’s also a Leona for the most part, who does require diving and has no way of escape. I won’t vouch for constantly trying a level 1 cheese, but those matches look very little like int feeding. Looks like a Support player setting up for allies and either dying in the process, again, not surprising for a champ that has to dive, or dying in scrifices, more likely the first.
