Did it fix snowballing? No

Did it ruin the dynamic of the game? Absolutely yes

You get punished so harshly when doing well, that you're better off denying your opponent farm and NOT killing him. Seriously, just denying him farm and making him lose CS while you farm perfectly is a way better strategy than killing him repeatedly in this dumb system.

If you solo carry and get legendary while your whole team feeds their ass off, prepare to get focused and instagibbed for that juicy 1000 gold bounty.

What a joke.

If you die to someone, kill them, then kill them again, then die to them, then kill, kill, and then die you'll end up with a 4-3 score yet the enemy will be ahead in gold.

Or for the love of God Riot, just give your hardcore players a Season 3 or Season 4 server and leave these casuals in this S8 abomination where they complain about snowballing, ignites, towers being too weak (LUL) ...

It is a significantly greater advantage for your team to be ahead in kills than to just deny your opponent farm.

Having your opponent off the map means they have no chance in pressuring objectives and they contribute nothing to their team for that window.

If you're just holding them off of a wave, you can't leave your lane either. You aren't really able to snowball or shift pressure around objectives yourself.

The bounty gold is a competitive incentive that DOES prevent snowballing from getting out of control BY DESIGN. .. but you are still more likely to get and maintain a lead by getting kills in the first place.

And regardless, if you think you NEED to be punished for doing well, have fun in season 9 with other carebears, I wanna play my early game champs, I wanna play my lane bullies, and I wanna enjoy the game, so Riot should release a Season 4 server for all of us, we deserve it.

They can then buff your towers, teleports, tanks and nerf your ignites. Enjoy

... You can do those things. ... I never said you couldn't. .. but you are not helping your team as much as if you are getting kills and doing things across the map.

If you don't kill your opponent or force them out of lane, when you leave the lane you are giving them the chance to regain ground.

And killing an opponent that is ahead of you is an accomplishment, .. that is something that should be rewarded.
