Riven's Animation Cancelling should be removed

Not a QQ thread, just saying that you shouldn't be determining if you can play Riven well or not on how well you can abuse a bug.

What about any ranged adc that can auto attack cancel/orb walk/attack move/not finish the entire attack animation because the projectile is leaving the barrel?

I don't see riot fixing this as its intentional that her broken wings can reset her auto attack timer just as much as as any other champ that has a reset.

That's another story.

It's totally different to completely remove an ability's cast tim or AA delay to deal twice or more damage in the same amount of time.

Imagin it like this: If everytime you used your Q on jinx, it would reset your AA timer. That's the same deal with Riven.

The thing is its not a bug and she is melee(yes a rather mobile melee, but still melee)

Auto attack canceling is just as much part of her kit as Trundles Q or Vayne Q(which also resets autos)

Her entire passive revolves around using Autos between abilities so it is insanely important for her to be able to auto attack cancel.

Her Q is NOT meant to be an AA reset, it is just a normal ability.

Trundle and Vayne Q's are AA steroids, so they should not be compared to Riven's Q.

Unless a Rioter can confirm it then what you say has little merit and your grasping at straws as I clearly shown you that it is not a bug as you claim in your opening post.

The only thing about riven thats different from others is that she has 3 resets which they probably made unique for her.

Teemo Q is a normal spell and a auto attack reset. Master Yis meditate is an auto attack reset so a "normal abilty" doesn't cut it.

Firstly, Riven's mechanics are working as intended. From 2011:

"Greetings Summoners!

With Riven on the horizon, I wanted to take a few minutes and give you all a sneak peek into some of her gameplay and mechanics.

Riven is a flow-based fighter who performs aggressive combo attacks to decimate her opponents. This often involves her stepping forward into her sword swings to chase down cowardly enemies who might try to escape or utilize their ranged attacks to avoid direct combat. This highly mobile fighting style makes her a really aggressive, momentum-based character.

Her signature ability is Broken Wings, a 3-part combo slash that causes her to step forward and slash nearby enemies. On her 3rd hit, Broken Wings unleashes a nova, knocking nearby enemies back. This is an unexpected change from some of the fixes in 5.1 to Overlapping CC effects (Riven's lockouts, which were blocking her from auto attacking automatically at once previously, use some of the same system that governs CC). We're going to look at this and discuss what the appropriate course of action is start of next week, will keep you folks posted.

From January 2015, I think it's more recent than 2011, just maybe...

I agree about that atack cancleling with Riven lover, and i agree low elos should be banned from typing here to (i am low elo and i play for only 3 months) i just see what people type in here and if cancleling would be a bug than there wouldnt be aa cancleling in master yi,teemo,itd (i am noob, i know there is tons of that but i dont hsve time to find tons of champions) so yeah. And why point out riven? She isnt even op like a lot of other champions.and her Q AA MS is super hard to do 3 times. And animation cancleling is actualy on every champion. Even on yasuo
