Honestly how do you play against Kat now.
You try your best, everyone says don't feed her. But honestly shes just so dumb she just kind Of hits E into a team fight and kills everything.

Walk towards her or sideways as the dagger lands. If she can't get her passive dmg off she gets nothing. Also the red circle is where she can land, the damage radius is larger and centered around her, not the circle.

I have litterally seen tank KATs
then full tank do like the most damage in a game. its retarded.
Then the other 9 players are garbage.
Yeah... I know. It's because all of her damage is on her passive that the tank thing works. She will always try to jump to the dagger, because that's the only way to refresh E cd almost instantly. Like Lee Sin, the urge is almost always too strong.
Every Kat has a preference on which part of the circle they jump to. New Kats will jump to the center, while experienced Kats will jump to the edge, middle Kats will pick a side and leave their W at their feet before jumping to the Q dagger so that they can jump back (that's her trade combo). If she doesn't leave her W there she's either trying to all-in or very dumb.
basically you have to watch her daggers and avoid them, and have insta CC (stun/displacement, not root) for teamfights when she ults, and yeah its a pain in the ass, but it comes down to careful positioning and reactions when she ults.

I just find it bullshit, because the effort required to play against her is so much larger than the effort the actually katarina player has to put out. You have to predict if she will dash to a dagger or not. You have to predict where she will shunpo, is it a minion, is it a dagger another champion? who knows? you have to hit her with CC despite her having and insanely short CD instant blink.
What champions do you play mostly at mid lane?

although I don't play mid often mostly support.
How is Katarina even a problem for you when you have Annie. 40% damage reduction and point and click or near unmissable AoE stuns. And Vel'Koz/Xerath just need to aim their stuns or CC or abilities at their own team so Katarina gets hit because that is where she'll be jumping instead of aiming at her before she Es.

Wtf, I never said I had a problem with her when I play Annie, I also said i dont play mid often.
You need a lot of practice at Mid then :) If you master Vel Koz & Xerath, Trust me Katarina won't be a problem.

No i'm saying I do not play mid, I don't have a problem playing against kat mid I h ave a problem when she is in my game in general you feel?
So the mere sight of Katarina in your game tilts you. I get it.
Xerath and Annie I can see, but Vel'Koz? nah. I used to play him mid against all his counters and do fairly well against all of them. The simple fact is that Vel'Koz requires a lot of teamwork to be good and since this game has champions and players who literally press 1 button to do everything and kill at least 1-3 champions by doing so, my tentacle style vs Ahri(Or any other female champs ;D) just isn't good enough anymore, Lethality is too strong. I find myself buying the usual same garbage on Vel'Koz and still getting 2 shot by people with Lethality without being able to fight back because there's too much damage, and it happens too fast for Vel'Koz to react. Remember that 3rd stacking true damage ult? Too bad Tibbers is stronger by far. AoE stun instantly, 40% damage reduction for annie and tibbers + a burn, plus attack speed and movespeed on tibbers to make sure he mauls down his target. Meanwhile Vel'Koz has to sit there and take absurd amounts of damage, get CC'd loses all damage viability.
Here's an idea...
PICK
AND MAX W FIRST!
If she Es in, just CC/Exhaust her. There, no more Katarina.
Pick Ziggs.
