So I've decided to protest the malzahar rework

#By playing exclusively malzahar, and refusing to invest a rank into W.

#Until he is reverted or reworked to better reflect the old champion.

Honestly, if you take away the W, he feels more like the old malzahar, so it's actually more enjoyable to me, despite heavily gimping yourself.

Yeah, I'm not expecting to cause some crazy uprising, just would rather enjoy the champion in a way which is more enjoyable, and calling it a protest on the off chance that it does force a response from riot.

off chance

you mean no chance

I mean on the planck length chance [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Yeah, I'm not expecting to cause some crazy uprising

Oh I expect an uprising, but it won't come from us or riots side.

If you play a champion, and deliberately refuse to level one of your champions skills, guess how the behavior control system will interpret that?

And people do report such things.

deadlychuck1 votes

They can report what ever they want. I can report someone for playing lee sin or yasuo, doesn't mean that anything will happen to them.

but it's not against the summoners code anymore than playing AD malzahar, AP Varus, AP tryn, AP xin, playing skarner

Martensitic2 votes

but it's not against the summoners code

Deliberately not leveling or using a champions skill is different from laying an off-meta spec. Its simply trolling, and that, my friend, is punishable.

and refusing to invest a rank into W.

But you don't need to believe me. But don't try to complain later, when its "told you so" - time.

Really? Ok, if i deliberately don't level up taric Q past rank 1, then am i trolling or just avoiding the inefficient mana cost?

If i don't level up TF Q, when playing ADC tf, am I trolling or am i avoiding a wasteful mana dump?

If i'm playing mage malzahar, and i don't level up my W, am i trolling or just avoiding wasting mana and giving the enemy gold?

Seriously, if you think knowingly not playing to maximum efficiency is a punishable offense, then just about every fucking player in this game is in need of a ban.

That's completely different from what you stated you are going to do:

"...and refusing to invest a rank into W."

...means to deliberately not even enable said ability.

deadlychuck1 votes

Yes, and if i don't level up TF Q when i'm playing ADC tf, i'm "deliberately not even enabling said ability."

There is nothing inherently wrong with not utilizing all of your kit's abilities. In fact, designing champions so that the cost/benefit of using at least one ability is unfavorable in a particular build and situation is arguably a far better design, as it allows for better tuning of the champion's power.

If i deliberately don't level up my W, it's because i don't think that the cost is worth the benefit. The cost of my enjoyment and sanity isn't worth the extra damage it can potentially provide.

Martensitic2 votes

Yes, and if i don't level up TF Q when i'm playing ADC tf, i'm "deliberately not even enabling said ability.

Correct.

And regardless of your opinion on the matter, that is trolling.

deadlychuck1 votes

And regardless of your opinion on the matter, that isn't trolling.

Martensitic1 votes

Keep believing that.

But don't come crying if the system shows you otherwise.

deadlychuck1 votes

Well if there is any bright side to this whole thing. I'll never talk to you again

Martensitic2 votes

Oh yes, that is indeed a bright side =)

#By being a piece of shit

K. Enjoy your ban for griefing.

deadlychuck1 votes

What are you talking about? This isn't griefing, i'm trying to win games and i do win some. It's not even like i'm playing some crazy unique play style which is questionable. I'm quite literally playing the game how it's intended to be played. Hell, you could even make the argument that i'm playing the champion the way it's intended to be played. ##I'm just not going to take the champion seriously if riot isn't.

I'd hardly call this being a piece of shit, i'm not actively working against my team by inting or playing a champion that can manipulate teammates like TahmKench Bard Kalista

LyingOnLine2 votes

You're not leveling W, yes? Which means you don't put any points in it, ever. Which means you're on 3 spells all game, and are getting a fat lot of nothing out of levels 13-18.

You are actively working against your team. And where I come from, that's called griefing.

deadlychuck1 votes

Not doing everything you possibly can to win isn't called griefing, and it for sure isn't working against your team. Hell, by this classification, things like AD diana, AP varus, AD garen, literally any non-optimal build is considered griefing by you.

Hell i wouldn't even call it toxic.

I doubt you do literally everything you can to try and win every game. Else you probably wouldn't be in (insert your elo here).

I empathize with you. It is very hard to even try anymore because Malzahar is so weak now.

I mean, I am seriously embarrassed to play him "competitively". So, I stopped.

I just can't play him in ranked anymore. If I want to play, I will just go norms.

Laughing and crying about how pathetic the champ is.

But, there are not many options when its your favorite champ. It feels a lot like watching a movie where you know your favorite character is going to die... but you watch anyway.

I know when I pick Malzahar, I am going to lose. I certainly won't win do my efforts. There is NO way I can carry with Malzahar. Its a joke.

Nevertheless, I REFUSE to play Ranked and ruin it for people who want to play competitively. Its the best I can do until Riot sends Malz some real buffs to his over-nerfed kit.

deadlychuck1 votes

It's not even about his strength. Not only do i not play ranked, I actually tried this back in probably September last year, but was too disgusted to even touch the champion.

Now, i'm just pissed.

I've decided to protest Walmart and their maniacal practices by shopping there every single day! That'll show 'em!

Good job OP, slow clap for you.

What a bad and inaccurate analogy

im going to protest this protest by playing malzahar and only leveling W

I mean, at least the champion still works without W
