Dr. Mundo is one of the weakest champions out there

Due the buffs to Mortal Reminder, he sits at 52nd place out of 61 possible top laners in the game https://www.champion.gg/champion/DrMundo.

If we exclude those who are both played mid and top, he becomes the the worst tank/bruiser in the game. Could he get some buff that prevent people from lowering his regeneration, at least from ultimate? I mean it's his signature ability, and there are plenty of viable counters to it right now. If Fiora/Zed/Trundle were made so that their respective ults cannot be countered in any shape of form, why are they so many possible counters to Dr. Mundo and his ultimate?

Eh, that's how Mundo's always been He follows a trend of being awful one season, really good the next, then awful, then really good, etc.

That is because his design is simple and countered in many ways. If they were to tweak his kit, that is its functionality and interaction with other items, he could become a standard pick, that could have its strenghts and weaknesses. Currently he only has one of those two categories, guess which one?

I doubt they would make mundo's ulimate immune to grievous wounds for clarity issues.

They could make it generate a shield rather than health, and then have whatever shield remains convert to health at the end.

I'd say Evelynn tops Mundo as being one of the worst. Her kit is a mess and her build path is just all over the place. She's an assassin with an identity crisis who thinks she's a tank and can't really do either very good.

I don't know about Evelyn, but Executioner's Calling (Mortal Reminder) completely disables Dr. Mundo. He doesn't provide hard cc, his slow is conditional (skillshot) and a single target only, and he can't tank either, since he relies on ult regeneration for durability. Overall bad at everything that matters.
