darius should use his crit animation if his autoattack applies 5th stack of passive

As a Darius main, that sounds... https://i.giphy.com/media/HDqx780FcBcT6/giphy.gif

This word is strictly reserved to Jhin. I'll upvote, hopefully you get 4 of them.

Why thank you, Jhin IS my number 1 ADC...

darius has top 10 crit but i have to build pd to see it

item 3070 feels bad

Nah, nah, go FULL CRIT DAR!

I honestly did that in a silly joke game with some friends, called it "Hopped-up on Coffee Darius"

To add on to this:

Vel'Koz should use his crit animation if he hits a target who has ult mark on them.

What does it even look like, i dont normally go crit darius when i play him

basically the first second of his Q animation http://www.lolking.net/models?champion=122

is his crit animation a kick like sion?

DunkinNoobs1 votes

Sounds like a nightmare to code given the game doesn't know if you'll apply 5 stacks until after the auto lands. Also stands to make his passive look very strange.

Big Lincoln1 votes

i donno other champs have unique animations for 3/4 hit passives don't they? like, vi, ekko, jhin, would darius be any different?

DunkinNoobs1 votes

I would guess that it would require Riot to completely recode his bleed to make such detection possible. Probably doable but not worth the effort for a purely cosmetic change. Also, would every auto during Noxian Might use the crit animation? What about continuing to auto someone after 5 stacks? Seems like visual clutter to me.

Big Lincoln1 votes

just if that auto would apply the bleed

or make his crit a normal attack animation, as long as i get to see it more

DunkinNoobs1 votes

You realize that, if you auto someone to 5 stacks and then continued to hit them, every single auto would show the crit animation? Because you're techncially reapplying 5 stacks with every hit. It would be like making Mundo's E use his crit animation for every auto for the duration. You could do that, but it definitely toes the line from a visual consistency standpoint.

Big Lincoln1 votes

a boi can dream :^(

you could make it the first attack to apply the fullstack per champion, and not for re applying it

Flawless Fetus1 votes

...Or you could make it so if they have 4 stacks, the next aa is the crit. 1, 2, 3, 5 would be the regular. Very very simple thing to do from a coding standpoint.

WhatAGeinius2 votes

Why would they have to recode anything

I think you're seriously overestimating how difficult this would actually be to code, it's seriously like 10 lines of code. Detecting whether or not the Darius has the Noxian Might buff and the target does not have 5 stacks of bleed or if the target has 4 stacks of bleed is an extremely simple If/Else structure.

No it wouldn't be, I'm easily going to solve your problem further down this thread with my beginner coding skills. This isn't actual code, but it is how I would code it if I knew the functions, variables, etc Riot uses.

if targetbleed == 5 play.aa(normal) elsif Darius hasbuff(NoxianMight) && targetbleed != 5 play.aa(crit) elsif targetbleed == 4 play.aa(crit) else play.aa(normal)

Here I just solved your dumb problem with 3 beginner level if statements.

All depends if they coded it correctly.

But yeah that's the basica to object oriented programming.

This is Riot we are talking about. Knowing them, Darius's AA animation coding is somewhere in the middle of Ahri's ult code.

you dont even need the first part. you just need this

if targetbleed == 4 play.aa(crit) else play.aa(normal)

attacking a target with 5 stacks already violates the condition and would play the regular auto attack.

Junkο1 votes

Yeah my bad, I had that there cause initially I didn't have 2 conditions for Noxian Might (I edited it like 5 sec later and I guess I forgot to remove the first 2 lines xP), cause otherwise every passive AA would be a crit animation :D

WhatAGeinius1 votes

Wouldn't this not trigger when attacking someone who has < 4 stacks when you have the Noxian Might buff, though?

yes, i overlooked those lines. those would be needed aswell.

either way. ezpz to do.

the animation plays when he auto attacks an enemy with 4 stacks of his passive.

how is that supposed to be difficult to do?

Big Lincoln1 votes

and also when he spreads passive to other champions

and also when he spreads passive to other champions

if (noxianmight == true) && (targetbleed < 5) play.aa(crit)

edit.: oh, he actually had it already there. thats what you meant. ye.

but it takes basically no efford. should at least.

I think riot only wants to apply on non-crits from champs who absolutely NEVER buy crit, like Janna. Darius on rare occasion buys crit and becomes a one-shot machine that dies if farted on. As long as that exists, they're not going to give him an illusory crit attack.

l Dárius l1 votes

sounds cool i dont like having to build crit to see it and it could make it easier to just know when darius hit five stacks if it somehow wasnt obvious enough i guess
