Is Riot Pushing For More of a Casual Experience?

I'm not really trying to complain but this is how I feel. I'm curious, does anyone else feel this way, or am I alone in my sentiment?

Examples

  • RNG dragons
  • Pretty casually designed queue being used even in the Ranked format
  • Little response to complaints about the queue in Ranked
  • Incentives for you to group up with friends rather than solo queue
  • Rewarding personal benchmarks (getting an S grade) instead of focusing solely on team goals

The grades most likely take into account things like objective game play and teamwork.

Specifically for champions, Riot is trying to make champions that can be played at a low skill level, but who can still have a high skill cap. Bard, Ekko, Kindred, Sol. All of these can be played by a bad player, but they are still amazing when played by a good player.

I feel like in some ways they are but also in others making things more complex well to me at least. So many champions I have played and liked have been reworked and given a skillshot which even after 3k+ games I am really not much better at them then at around 500-1000. Also Ekko to me was a hard championsI sucked so bad when I first tried him and even 5 times I played him about still couldn't do anything. But it also takes me 20+ games usually with champions assuming they only have 1 skillshot or 2 that are easy to hit to be able to play with decently. I also can't play melee champions at all in lane without dying a ton. They should make parties of 4 only find other parties of 4 and 1 individual on each team.
