Last i checked adaptive damage was around building physical or magical damage. but a full armor mundo takes 600 damage from electrocute from a full AD kayn? is adaptive damage also a form of true damage without actually being true damage?

Adaptive damage deals the damage type you itemize for.

Build AD? Deals Physical. Build AP? Deals Magical.
