5 premades shouldn't match against 5 random people in Normals/ARAM/events etc.

I know that Riot is not even fair with ranked matchmaking but I would prefer waiting 5 more minutes instead of matching against 5 premades in ARAM.

It's not fair, and it seems like everybody would prefer to wait an extra minute or two in queue rather than get matched into such a game.

OCCASIONALLY it does seem that the system took the collective MMR difference into account, but certainly not always.

this is the reason back during my gears of war 3 days this killed ranked. why were people allowed to queue as a group of 5 and vs random people? beats me. got too annoying being the only one with 20 + kills and few deaths and my team is 0-2 kills.

They're allowed to because the system artificially inflates their MMR for the purposes of that match when premade.

Basically, a premade of full bronze will match against 5 random silvers. Not the exact values (probably), but it's enough to explain.
