My opinions/suggestions on Veigar's update

I used to play quite a bit of Veigar. (By used to, I mean pre-DFG removal). Now, before you think this is a rant about the DFG removal, I'd like to assure you it is definitely not. My big opinions are more based on the health of the meta, Veigar's position in it without that crutch, and his Q changes. Without further ado, here I go:

Veigar, thematically, doesn't make much sense. With his stun being nerfed (acting like Pantheon's ult warning), he has a lot more counter play. Was this stun nerf wrong? Not in the slightest! I think that it was a good way to add an effective way to play against him. But since so many variables took place in such a small time, his power was greatly weakened. With the current health of the meta, champions with a lot of dive potential and escape mechanics (looking at you, Fizz and Nidalee) make it very hard to keep an enemy locked down long enough to effectively combo. The q feels stale and like a half-hearted attempt to appease Veigar players (while champions like Ahri gained massive buffs and movement speed buffs to help them transition). Making Veigar's Q a skill shot just doesn't make very much sense. I do like the little collision burst it gives. It definitely does help his farming. I don't like how linear (literally) it is.

With Veigar always being on the outskirts of every meta - meaning he is never included in any of the parties - I feel that these 'buffs' did not suffice.

My proposition: Make Veigar's Q have a passive similar to Tristana's explosive shot. Instead of a linear skillshot, revert it back to an on-target skill while giving it a small amount of aoe burst to effectively fight against waveclear opponents while being able to position in a way to effectively use the burst. Since waves come in 3s (3 melee, 3 range) I found that to effectively use the Q burst in lane, you had to position yourself beside the creeps, almost zoning yourself out and putting yourself in danger. His W is already a difficult skillshot. Adding a skillshot to his Q increases the stress if one were to miss their E.

TL;DR: Make Veigar's Q burst more like a Tristana Explosive Shot passive rather than a linear skillshot. Also, revert it back to an on-target skill. This, in my opinion, will make Veigar's kit flow more smoothly and relieve some of the stress of a missed combo.

bumping every six minutes is a bit excessive.

In my past posts about things, I've noticed no one really responds to a thread unless A) A RED has posted on it or B) It's repeatedly put at the top, right in front of their face.
