Fresh-off-teh-boat sorta speak players should not start off around sliver MMR

Its really unhealthy in sliver 5 MMR to have someone with just 2 wins and doesn't even know that he needs to start with item 1041 or the other item to build into a smite item. Then you place him with people who have 100s of games already in that are not perfect either but neither the less its really a wide skill gap just right there. I win and lose games hey i don't mind that but when i lose due to this flaw in the MMR system i get pretty aggravated. New players need to start within bronze and work out of bronze and into sliver vice versa.

I agree. Have a friend who just got into B1 playing ranked for the first time and he's a super casual player, not even close to being ready for that level of play. I think new players should all start at B5.

Exactly if the player is good he'll climb out either way so why place every new person in sliver MMR.

I would rather an unranked player with 2 wins be on my team than someone in s4-5 with hundreds of games played there.

But they have hundreds of games because they're always playing with an unranked player with low wins...

yeah no, they have hundreds of games because that's where they belong. Stop blaming your teammates. There's a chance that unranked player with 2 games is b5, or there's a chance he's plat or higher. the silver player with hundreds of silver games is going to be at a silver skill level.

There's a lot of griefing, newbs, and bugs out there which made it harder to climb; you don't know what you're talking about. There is luck in the game. It is one of the harder seasons to solo carry the game.

No-Remake bug, Int feed from a banned pick, Novices, and bad Teemos are a leading cause of mostly 4v5 games that will 90-99% result in a loss. It's not some magical place where playing games makes you bad.

If you're better than your elo, you will maintain a win rate of over 50% and you will climb. If after hundreds of games you're still where you started, then that's where your skill level currently sits. You might get afks or trolls on your team, but given your team only has 4 random variables and the enemy team has 5, so long as you're better than your elo, you should statistically put your team at an advantage in a majority of games played. The enemy team has a better chance of getting an afk or troll than your team does so long as you never do either.
