I am not a fan of goberment regulation in most cases, but having yhis game accessible to children dosnt feel right to me. at th very least the rating should b changed to mature. the whole game is a 15 min die roll. sure if ou find it fun and ar an adult fine, but instilling that behaibiour in children is scumy, specially since Riot plans to gat th amount of times you can play per day... also having cosmetic purchase be only accesible as roulette is also wrong, spfially cause little legends designs are cute and look targeted to children too

Gambling involves actual currency being risked for the chance at reward. Now I haven't even looked at TFT so correct me if I'm wrong, but just having an RNG element does not make something gambling. Many children's games have random elements. Card games, board games, etc.

Loot boxes, however, are a plague.

It is as much “gambling” as crits are in the base game.

Whoa, you're canceled sweaty. They're actually "surprise mechanics" now.

So, where exactly do you draw the line with RNG elements? Because I've taken a quick squiz through your posting history, and not a single mention of any of the many lootboxes that are shoved into LoL. I mean, let's be honest, they've found their way into just about every rewards based system in the game, are are much, much closer to actually being gambling (even using the same "flashy colours/animations" techniques as gambling devices, such as slot machines) than the TFT mode, and yet you seem to be content to completely ignore the problems they pose.

Seems like this is just about TFT, and nothing to do with actual gambling...

TFT is readymade for gambling. Parties of 8 may enter. Each puts in $1 (or $10, or $100, whatever): 3rd breaks even, 2nd gets 2x, 1st gets 5x. I believe that rings of such matches are already taking place.

Not different from friendly nickle-and-dime poker nights, really...

Of course, the possibility also exists to cheat, by entering with a partner who strategically throws, for example...

its almost as if its the parents job to teach their children the value of money by working on it so they dont develop habits of wasteful whaling

Ok... if tft is gambling then so are card games, board games, any rpg that has a drop chance, any game that has any amount of rng period.
