The counterplay to warmog's raka is that tank raka is no longer a good build. Her self heal has an ap ratio and shitty base damage, while her ally heal costs 10% MAX health. She is far better with utility items or ap items than tank

warmog's is pretty good on her. Gives her insane passive healing so she can keep healing her allies with W. I don't think a raka really needs to build tank if she wants to buy warmog's. It's good by itself considering how crappy soraka's heals are if she goes full tank. She can buy AP supp items + warmog's and I think that's fine. Expensive though, but fine.

You can't get warmogs heart with just warmogs, you'll at least need another item. But when you need sightstone too, you'll get it too late in the game to really make a difference byh the time you get 3000hp and even then, you have zero utility items on top of it. until afterwards

The counterplay is that she heals for much less and Warmog takes too much to be a valuable item for her because now it requires her to have 3000 health which is painful when her heal costs are based on her maximum health.

Because she gets less AP and her heal doesn't scale with HP.

IF you are doing well and want to heal late game a item 3089 can do wonders but only if you are able to position and not get targeted by the enemy

LESS AP and the amount of health that it gives make the regen percentage actually less meaning less heals due to the 10% heal cost come less often. Better to use items like item 3060 item 2302 , and such

The out of combat regen on 3000+ HP helps deal with the max health cost.

That said, it is very item dependent, requiring a lot of HP (and sacrificing AP to do so.) And afaik if she does, if her target gets dps'd higher than she can heal it back, doesn't help much.

It's not that bad. The recent addition of warmogs heart helps alot by forcing her to either build HP, or building Ap and making it more difficult to do both.

Um her high hp comes with no armor ADC/jungler/top laner with borks take that HP and piss all over her cause 8% of that HP is done as damage to her. DONT SAY THAT BORK HAS NO PLACE IN TOP LANE I THINK ABOUT GNAR! Also dont give me crap about bork on the jungler 90% of you jungler turds use the devourer item and bork is just the perfect synergy with it so stuff that hole you call a mouth before saying bork has no place on junglers!

point is bork literally counters out the warmogs massive HP buff with no AR buff. also the mage item Torment watch that no MR build just melt her away. if she manages to get away from the percentile HP drain train she has to recover that HP still and that is not a fun thing to do also note that warmogs alone does not proc the heart passive she has to dip deep in to HP items and while there are more AP HP health items they dont come with resistances or meaningful resistances. even if she gets the HP limit for warmogs heart she is hurting her self harder with the HP loss off the spell being cast and often the mana pool will dry up quickly as well. over all as long as your team works together the warmogs raka is just foricing herself out of the fight.

25 to 30 minutes into the game = item 3158 item 2049 item 3116 item 3083 (at this point you have most likely lost the game) + whatever other support crap you want to buy next.

Most likely these item 3222 item 3190 item 3060 item 3050 item 3504 .

i love these comments about Soraka not building AP with Warmogs... like any Soraka ever builds any amount of significant AP, also with both item 3083 and item 2049 there is already 1200 of the 3000 HP she needs to benefit from warmogs and that's not counting rune+masteries+base HP. Hell add a item 3105 item and you are done while you fill the rest of your items with AP heavy ones.

Most of the Soraka's i have seen build Warmogs after they build at least one support item anyways ( item 2049 is not included)so it hardly ever bothers her and when Soraka is there to heal having "little utility" means nothing since you picked her to heal you not to have utility

it's not like warmogs passive is constantly healing her or something... unless you somehow manage to land any sort of damage on Soraka she using 10% of her HP per heal means little to nothing since she will just be back to full almost instantly

good luck doing that while she stands as far away as possible from your team, unless you plan on outright diving the enemy team that is not a possibility unless the Soraka is brain dead stupid and leaves herself open

She's actually fairly easy to hit because of her low W range.
