See the 2nd picture of the album, the upper team had:

1 master with decent winrate
2 challenger with insane winrates

The lower team had:

1 dia1 with decent winrate
1 master with decent winrate
1 challenger with decent winrate

I know LP is calculated based on MMR and not shown elo but even there the upper team should have a way higher MMR. The upper team lost -3 LP.

That is why they lost so little.

You dont seem to understand the system. Because your mmr is so high, the game percieves you as good and wont punish you as hard for losing. You need to lose very often until the game thinks you deserve a lower elo than you are in

this falls apart at the masters level though. When the queues are empty, Challengers are being matched with people ranked below them, because there is literally no one above them queueing right now
