Does anybody really think Yasuo is actually in a good spot right now?
I mean someone with 2 of the best defense steroids in the game combined with 2 of the best offensive steroids, one of the best mobility spells in the game, has no mana, high base move speed, a gapcloser free AA ult that gives him a shield and free armor pen that he doesn't even have to set up personally, a really good AA steroid that also makes it AoE. But his only weakness is: melee and non-projectile ranged mids (even some that don't really have projectiles are counted as them and are nulled). Most melee mids tends to have a bad early game where Yasuo doesn't really have a bad anything (except level 1 and his passive helps to negate that).
I mean the only reason he isn't picked that much anymore is because of the broken AD bruiser power houses of
etc.
I honestly think the only way to balance Yasuo is to take his ult, remove the free shield on its cast because theoretically he shouldn't be diving headfirst into a team if he needs a 800 hp shield on top of extending non-reducable CC and adding extra damage on top of making him hit even harder. Also to fix up wind wall so it doesn't block as many things or is no longer instant and has a small time where it isn't active until it reaches a set distance away. The fact that people like
who have a near instant ult can have it blocked at point blank range in the middle of the animation because Yasuo's spawns so fast and is up for so long. Also it would also make sense that his ult would put yasuo: either in the middle of a clump of people he's hitting or directly in front of whoever he is ulting instead of him appearing in random places or even behind someone when the dash is a forward dash (it sets him up for free tower dives so easy because he can E away afterwards)
After you make these changes I would recommend looking at his kit and seeing where he actually needs power because the ult changes threw him way over the edge post release and have only caused more and more problems since. I understand his ult being an offensive steroid, but the fact of the matter is it also acts as a defensive steroid that basically doubles his innate steroid while also acting as a gap closer.
It's near impossible to burst someone with 3k hp faster than they can burst you if you are a squishy or a bruiser when half the damage is done when you cannot interact with him. This would normally point to its the teams job to do something about it, but then you have the fact that he presses 1 button to get all of those effects and still has 3 more to do after it not even including summoners.
Yasuo is basically so over loaded (I'm not saying OP just that he has so much built into his kit that it makes it really hard to do anything without counter picking) that his kit is impossible to balance and his power needs to be shifted from Mobility, offense, and defense to mostly offense and mobility. Look at
, he isn't bad but he still puts out insane damage while being squishy instead of something you would prefer to cut yourself than play against. You know you can stun a Yi and kill him, but with Yasuo you have to burn so much just to even have the chance to have him misplay that it is not fun at all to play against.
