Tanks-Support Tanks-Acceptable Tank Supports-Off-tank supports
Alright Tank Supports are as follow
Alistar, Leona, Tahm Kench, Braum-Support Tanks-All these tanks have many ways of CC and ways of protecting their adc, and also as well have several ways of being able to tank for the entire team. Blitzcrank, Galio, Malphite, Maokai, Nautilus, Poppy, Shen, Trundle-Acceptable Tank Supports-These tanks have more than one way to protect their adc, don't require farm of their own which is why Cho'Gath, and Sion aren't on this list, because for them to be tanky they kind of need to get kills.....which is a lot harder doing as a support tank rather than doing it in the jungle or top lane. Difference support tanks don't need items to make them tanky their kits are designed to make them tanky without items, while Acceptable tanks don't need farm as much but come around mid game they need to start getting items to become the tank for their team, but because of their initial tankiness protecting their adcs is relatively easier and they're less likely to die from harass. Off-tank supports-Thresh, Taric, and Nunu are perfect examples of a off-tank support, they aren't like your tanks above they can build tanky but they aren't wanting to be on the front line as much they want to sit back and make plays only being there as a way to increase teammates by either saving them with a lantern or creating invulnerability zones.
Other noticeable tanks that you can see as support are Volibear, Illoai, Cho'Gath, and Sion-My problems with these tanks is:
Volibear: he can charge in flip an enemy and really be a bitch to deal with making people want to kill him but once he goes in he risks leaving his adc to be ganked, even if warded properly Volibear would then put himself at a very vulnerable position!
Illoai: The pull is great but in reality has zero form of CC and once it's used there's really not much she can do if the enemy works their way around her! 2 v 1 enemy adc, chances are they'll kill her adc before Illaoi and her adc is able to kill the soul!
Cho'Gath: What makes Cho'Gath tanky in the first place is he needs to feed as much as he can the earlier the better even with relic shield it will never truly be enough. He has to constantly hold himself back from getting kills or risk starving the crap out of his adc in doing so.
Sion: Sion is the same way his W is what makes him tanky like Garen, the more he kills the more permanent health he gets though unlike Garen this doesn't tap out, he can't cs at bot lane, if enemy doesn't feed kills to them Sion becomes little more than a simple annoyance. The kit for Sion is nice and has potential to support, but his W alone same with Garen is the main reason he's not a support tank!
Now I know people will disagree but their is reason why there are different tanks! Some can do while others not so well! All tanks are tanks even Warwick that lifesteal he's builds really tanky he becomes this annoyance that can make you want to throw your computer down the stairs, but Warwick is not a good example of a good support tank.
?
?? basically a poke tank, you keep poking with your Q and harass enemy. Probably can win every all in due to the amount of damage he will do, the only exception is burst based ADC which will probably kill your ADC too fast for you to put pressure. Also forces one of the laners to get ignite which half of the times is suboptimal.
I would like to see any Annie try to out lane me as Brand lmao. Literally Annie is your bitch in lane and her only chance to even do anything is when she is 6 with stun and that's why you shit on her pre-6 and make her and her ADC rage quit
with hybrid reds. You make people extremely miserable in lane while also having mobility to solo carry games. Your Q procs pickpocket as well as your spellthief making you extremely rich.
