Dont know why nobody gets these items on mages?

das alot of mana plus when its maxed out at 750 into arch you get about 100 ap out of it (more or less depending on runes/champ/masteries/other items) That and learn how to last hit you noobs, I hear you all complaining "omg yas/zed have such good waveclear blah blah blah" have you tried not using your abilities to farm? ever hear of last hitting or is that not a thing?

See, the thing is you sacrifice early game power spikes that a lot of mages depend on to be useful. I've been getting a tear on Sona and Syndra because you will go oom otherwise. You can /feel/ that you're not as strong as you should be since you built mana instead of damage. Having to lane against manaless/resourceless champions only makes this worse. Last hitting is much much harder on mages than on champions like Yasuo or Zed (pretty much impossible to miss cs as Zed) due to the fact that they don't have a lot of ad.

Champions like Orianna and Syndra depended on Athenes because getting cooldown reduction was equally as important as not running oom in two spell rotations.

.... So I get to delay my build to buy a 720 gold item that gives me no stats whatsoever and I still get to go oom after 2 rotations of spells unless I complete a second mana regen item??? Meanwhile I get to delay my Zhonya's even more so Zed can 1 shot me the very second he hits level 6? What could possibly go wrong?

If you are good at farming and dont use spells to farm and stop engaging so darn early... you can easily survive ten minutes in lane without having to B and youll have enough gold if you can farm

First of all.. Your argument contradicts itself. I'm not supposed to use my spells because I'll run oom.. But I'm supposed to build and stack a tear? What?

Second of all Zed can push and roam if you don't use your own abilities to do just that. Terrible idea.
