Has anyone climbed out of bronze, only playing support?

Despite what I'm hearing, I think nobody has ever proved it possible. If so, can they please leave a comment so I can check their match history?

A quick youtube search will turn up several videos. Good place to start if your trying to main support outta bronze. I personally recommend playing folks who can do damage and have hard cc. a lot of folks do mages to compensate for bad adc and to take advantage of bad enemy adc/support and run it as a kill lane. This is fine unless your mechanics are not strong enough. Id say Bard Nami Blitzcrank Annie Brand can do it.

My friend did using champions like Blitz Annie And brand

Mostly because no one needs to build anything other than sightstone and pure damage. Annie and Brand (used to) have huge damage And since everyone has bad positioning, blitz punishes like no tmr

Just started my climb this season. Slowly, but surely crawling upward. Playing a ton of Janna. She's good, but it's still an absolute pain.

If I wanted to climb faster, I'd probably play a mage support.

That said, people are so bad at trading in this elo that you can literally zone them as Janna if you've half a clue. If against a mage support, just bait out their abilities (and shield them) time and time again until they oom -- and then kill them.

Trivial, provided your adc isn't a complete monkey. Keyword: if.

The hardest part, of course, is translating an early lead into a victory. If your team isn't interested in pushing objectives, there simply isn't much you can do as a champion whose sole role on a team is peeling. You can set the deck in your favor, but ultimately, each match is still a coin toss to some degree.

Such is life, but you don't need to win 100% of your games to climb. 6/10 is enough.
