... please increase the number of bans from 3 per team to 5. Players and fans of LCS want to see more diversity in champions played. I think you are really undervaluing how much this would improve the game.

If they moved to 2 ban phases. 3 prior to champ selection and 2 after each team has made their 3rd selection would that improve counterplay and team strategy?

That's actually not a bad idea.

It's actually the DoTa bann system method.

If they nerf some competitive champions (Sivir, Liss, Lb, Elise especially this champions) problems will be solved.

Lugg1 votes

The problem is they never fix those champs.

Yes, give 5 bans. So that Ryze and any other difficult to deal with Champion can be permabanned. This is a terrible idea, if you give 5 bans people will just ban what they don't like instead of what is actually powerful.

And? If 10 champions are banned every single game. They clearly have issues that impact negatively on the playing experience such as; A broken kit that feels unfun to play against (Master yi, darius, yasuo) A kit that lacks counter play and enforce a feeling of uselessness on the receiving end (Annie, garen, fiora , caitlyn) Are in fact too strong (Swain, vlad, hec with new tri force) Make an entire class of champions obsolete (Vayne, some assassins, trundle) Or perhaps an individual simply can't be f*cked dealing with a certain champions kit.

I for one hate dealing with irelia top, ahri mid, vayne adc, yi jungle and morgana support. They aren't necessarily OP, but I simply cbf dealing with their kits as I don't enjoy playing against them. Everyone has a champion that they despise facing and wish could be permabanned. It's the reason I play ranked, to ban vayne every game.

If I was riot, and say..... "Swain, vlad, zed, fizz, kindred, ireli, ekko, malz, yas, azir" were always banned. Clearly something is wrong with these champions that give players REASON to ban them with such consistency (Note these are the 10 most banned champions according to champion.gg). It's a clear sign, that something is wrong with their strength or game-play health that should be addressed asap. And even if they're banned every game, people still play norms, throw out a change and observe their performance in normals where they can't be banned out. People would quickly discover through stats and norms their new state. And if they were nerfed enough, that their ban is better utilised on a different champion, maybe a counter to their own champion or their team comp.

To add to the OP, all the way in pro play. Abolish this Team A vs Team a meta where it's about using the exact same thing as every other dam team, just better. Wouldn't it be great if every team had their own unique strats? team compositions? styles?

But no, suppose we want; Shen, trundle, irelia top/// Vik, zil, azir mid///Gragas, rek sai, graves, kindred, elise jungle///sivir, ashe, jhin, ez ADC///Bard, Braum, Trundle, Karma support How entertaining, seeing the same dull, boring champions every single game.

My baby's being played in the LCS?

Shenpai?!?

macromite1 votes

That isn't a good thing.

Personal suggestion, put on a helmet. There is a chance of hammers raining.

Melledoneus1 votes

If they nerf Shen, I quit.

I mean, melee is one of the most popular esports in the world and there's like 5 viable characters, so maybe riot thinks they're a cool new melee that your parents can't handle?

Congratulations, you understand the goal to this - setting up situations where after the must bans are out of the way, we can focus the rest of the bans on what we don't want to see. What's there not to like about it unless you main toxic broken bullshit? Maybe those guys could try to ask Riot about reworking them into a healthy spot so they won't get banned every game? Just a thought.

Cool, let's make the game even more casual, by making people able to pick and choose what they want to learn to play against. This is a great idea. With bans how it is now, you ban what is actually overpowered, instead of just what you don't like. That's optimal.

Schàdenfreude1 votes

keep whining, and next time maybe think of a better way to counter or rid of champions you dislike?

Lugg3 votes

The champions I dislike are grossly overpowered or stupidly broken. I can't fix them, so at least let me ban them until Riot gets it right.

runedara1 votes

I think they should just have a different ban pick for higher up.

Lugg1 votes

I think it would be good at all levels. That way Riot is forced to fix broken champs.

Seenan1 votes

I think one set of reasons they don't wanna add more bans is because, for one, they don't listen to any feedback, and two, they could ban out a whole person's pool of effective champs if necessary. For Faker, that's not a problem. For OTPs or mains? Lol.

Lugg1 votes

If you are a pro player and can't play more than 5 champs, you deserve to lose quite honestly. I can play more than 5 in EVERY role well.

Lugg1 votes

No it's not. ;)
