Dynamic Queue still needs some fixes.

Read chatlog.

I queued up as Mid/ADC, got ADC.

Koggles queued up ADC/Mid, got Mid.

There's no rhyme or reason to who gets what roles and as a mid main I find it fairly frustrating, especially when the people who say, "I'll just pick my role first and then mid 2nd because mid is so contested I'm guaranteed my role." and then they get mid.

It's because the client doesn't treat it as primary and secondary, it looks for both at the same time and acts like both are primary.

Source? Tbh it doesn't make much sense, as it ruins the very thing dynamic queue aimed to achieve - giving people the position they like. Unless, of course smb likes two positions equally (AND hate the rest), but I think folks like this are a tiny minority.

Source?

???

That's the game I queued into there's your source.

That's not a definite proof. Even though I find it unlikely, what happened in your game might have been caused by the matchmaking algorithm. (Because, I would imagine, chance that your secondary preferance will be chosen increase with your queue time + ofc your mmr is a factor too. So, maybe it just puts you both on your secondary positions and doens't check for a situation that happened in yout game (because it simply built your team this way and thus giving you your primary roles might be seen as an advantage)).

I really hope English is your second language because that made zero sense whatsoever.

And the fact you're justifying this as an ok thing makes even less sense.

And how is first hand evidence with pictures of it happening NOT proof?

I was trying to say that the matchmaking/teambuilding algorhitm may work in a way that situations like the one on screenshot may happen even though the quoted line is not true. Thats all, I am not gonna further explain how, unless Riot asks me, so they can fix it :).

That was fine English.

And he's not justifying that it's okay. He's simply stating that an algorithm **_might _**exist such that mid/ADC and ADC/mid both get secondary. If you don't agree with that then you don't understand algorithms and shouldn't have an opinion.

I don't know either way. I can't stand the balance right now and have been playing arams. Just trying to help you with your lack of comprehension.

Time means nothing, game will instamatch me my secondary. Over 120 games, I have gotten primary <10% of the time.

Its very clear after 120 or so games with this system that primary and secondary are weighted the same. I put in jung/fill, want to know what I get 80% of the time? Sup, 10% adc, the other 10% is the other 3 roles. The numbers add up. The system either is not working as intended (aka not giving any weight to primary) or it is and the UI is very intuitive. One of these needs to be fixed. Now, I dont mind supporting all that much, it is my secondary, but you know, I want some varity in my life, aka some jungling.

You know what.. as much as this might ruin the speed of matchmaking, but I would really love the option of picking 1 role only. Sick of being matched in my secondary role almost every time and then watch people feed in my primary role. Or.. once a game is found, tell me what role I will be placed in before I click accept to go into champion select.

THIS! I would love this!

oh god please no. Increase queue times 10-fold.

Ye I'm an ad main now even tho mid is my "primary" role.

Same thing with me, although I enjoy both roles, so I'm not complaining.

Approved and upvoted. Dynamic queue has definitely been bad for business. Nothing about it has functioned as intended. Wait times are longer in queue, role preference is nonexistent and its more rare to be able to play mains in main roles now than it was before, Pro teams playing against 5 random diamond/master players on a regular basis, solo players have no rewarding game modes and are universally flamed at when paired with groups making for even less enjoyable games. This game has no competitive integrity and Dynamic queue only highlighted all the problems that already existed with competitive integrity. Bad change was bad.

When I queued up for jungle support one time I had an Elise who got jungle when she was mid/fill. There's absolutely no reason I should have ended up as support. And the only reason I found out was she was complaining how she couldn't play jungle rofl.

The only thing DQ has convinced me of is that it has absolutely no regard for what I place as my primary or my secondary, I don't play support or place it as primary or secondary because I know that would be all I'd get to play. Hoever, I find it freaking silly that I can get my secondary 6-7 times in a row without getting to play my primary, this happens all the time, due to this, I have switched from maining my primary to maining my secondary. ^^

I called Zyra bot lane and got it My support said "Welp I'm gonna lock in an adc and take all the farm just so you know" We proceeded to lose the game :)

GenghisEmo1 votes

Yep. The one time i wanted to supp for a friend, i get Mid.

Could not stop laughing. It was so freaking funny.

My friend got ADC, which he chose primary which actually made sense.

If i go Supp second, or fill second, i get it XD. Even when my bro wants supp primary XD.

Ty Riot for making me laugh... now please fix it. A bit more consistency would be nice. Or a "Supp" cap would also be nice (3 times supp, and 4th time you get something other than supp guaranteed).

Points out valid queue issue. Gets banned for offensive language. RIP

Um there was a theory that if you win more games in mid lane, you will get mid. It all depends on what you have been winning on in solo queue i guess.

EDIT: if you are picking your second choice as add, you must be more than comfortable to play your secondary position.

New matchmaking is a joke. It's entirely based on popularity of roles and not the choices you que for. Fill should give you a 1/5 chance of getting each role instead of a 4/5 chance fo support, queuing for jungle first should give you a >50% chance of getting jungle, etc. YES this will result in longer que times, but I'm so tired of only playing support when i go fill and never getting mid when I pick it first.
