I think I might finally uninstall

Been playing league since the start. Really loved jungle pretty much always and sure for a patch or two riot always screws it up. Who doesn't remember feral flare right? lol what a joke but riot always identified the issue quickly and rolled out nerfs or alterations. This time they've done several things I genuinely don't think can be rectified in any short term because they believe it solves an issue at professional level.

Jungle experience- The differential is largely unimportant... until you realize that counter jungle is now the only way to play. If you can farm more camps than the opposing jungler in the first 5 minutes you'll hit 6 before he hits 5. Ganks also generate giant leads now and seem even more snowball oriented than before.

Dragon - Jesus where to even begin. There are two high tier dragons, a mid tier dragon and literally air dragon. If water dragon spawns first and you take it before 7 minutes every single lane should win. Fire dragon creates huge late game leads. Earth dragon really only helps you win more and air dragon has very little visible effect.

Collective changes. This patch is simply too large. It's an unfortunate indication of non preseason patches to come. It's too much to change at once and doesn't give you precise results.

Riot has ghostcrawler at the helm now and like he killed wow stock he will slowly kill league. I wish you guys luck because while I might not uninstall right now. I'm really close to doing so.

This game is more different even than people think, I'm convinced. I had a great first year to learn the game, and then slowly most of what I'd picked up in my preferred role (utility mage) stopped being relevant. By S4 I think the bad trends had started. Really a shame. Maybe some day someone can do a case study of this for business school or (better yet) some game design degree. I'd love to get my hands on the S3 version of League and magically have a dev team update it without destroying the spirit.

So you hate that objectives, active ganks and counterjungling giving advantages?! I'm sorry but do you seriously think that a game would be better if you could pick some stupid bs like yi, farm your jungle all game and then, regardless of how your laners are doing, dominate teamfights just because your pick is stronger then theirs.

Also air dragon is great for teamfights initiations especially if you have guys like Evelynn Kennen Amumu and many others.

And, yes, this patch is large so how about instead of preemptively complaining about changes you actually play it and figure out the new meta for yourself.

Wtf? Air dragon buff is lost in combat. It is literally USELESS in teamfights.

And, yes, this patch is large so how about instead of preemptively complaining about changes you actually play it and figure out the new meta for yourself.

Is that a serious comment? I don't even know where to begin....

If only NA silver knew what initiation is and what you need to make it happen...

And yes it was a serious comment. In my games half the junglers still try to play offtank yi and never bother their empty heads with the new herald buff or the wealth of new or reworked items and just go with their usual pre 6.9 routines. Begin with what you like just make sure you check your facts before sh1tposting and trying to make new rito hate bandwagons.

The movement speed from air drake is so insanely small that it wouldn't make a difference in initiating a team fight.

It adds up nicely with champion kits and items. Not to mention that elder drake doubles it, which would make it ~67 bonus ms in ideal situation which is like double boots, and can lead to some pretty impressive engages. But if you feel that it is useless feel free to ignore it and try to trade it to another team for a turret.

i'm in the same boat, as much as people don't wish to solely pin the blame on ghost crawler. He has openly admitted to believing high burst metas with assassins and mages is considered healthy and exciting gameplay. Not sure if it plans to get worse as i've already heard there is an assassin update they plan to implement soon, or if this is the worst we may see.

I mean tbh all riot employees have to fake an agreement and put bs on the boards because they are instructed to. I'm pretty sure there are rioters out there who hate what's going on s6 but stay quiet or fake a reply defending something they hate so they won't get fired or something.

i'm sure there is discontent among the rioter's however it should be blatant, that changing this much during the actual season won't have good repercussions. Personally it looks like an act of desperation for something good to come out of it and hold their playerbase till the season is over.

I mean tbh I guess they thought every season would be redundant if they didn't make any significant changes toward, so I can see where they were trying to go with this. New things create new players, so idk. The thing is that the PBE is jack sht when it comes to testing and feedback towards riots decisions with new gameplay crap they pour out on us. Little to no one plays ranked on PBE so riot releases dynamic que, no one cares about new champion balance and changes and riot has to balance it once it's live and rage threads pour in, new gameplay stuff no one cares about so riot releases it live. I guess riot assumes what they've made on PBE would be approved by the testers. However the "testers" are just on PBE to test skins they don't have. Me being included.

the issue is in the past 5 seasons you've built a player base of 60+ million, that alone is outstanding. Why was there a demand to change it to attract new players? all there doing is driving away there player base. Supposedly this is the first quarter they've lost on the player base. By almost 3 million.

what statistic do you need? the fact is the season started off with 60 + million players and has never had a qaurterly loss. This is the first season with a 3 million reduction. Look at there progress reports btw (was just in the hospital so i apologize if i didn't satisfy your request).

I don't know. The Rioters seem to have their own ideas as to the direction of the game and the kinds of things that it should include, ideas which are often very different from what the players want, but they always seem to be united in their (to my eyes flawed) vision.

Riot hates strategy. They know their DQ is a failure so they wanted to reward players who make teams.

Now, whether you saw or killed the red/blue, you are instantly notified of the timer when it's about to spawn by every team.

Have fun solo jungling vs premades shitting on your jungle.

I have to say it just makes no sense to be making so many consecutive catastrophic changes to the game in the middle of the season. These are pre-season grade changes being thrust into the middle of the officially launched season. Its just.... sad to see this as the most unstable and imbalanced the game has ever been in its history for seemingly no good reason to make it this way.

Riot can say they have good intentions and reasons for doing what they do, but that does not mean its working out, or making anything better. People can defend it, and even like it and say its better, but that doesn't make it right. It doesn't make it the right time or place.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, right? Riot is going to keep doing this until it eventually works out, if not this year, in preparation for the next.

I think this more than any one thing is the issue here.

The map changes, dragon/herald changes, mage/itemization changes, all huge on their own.

Sticking them all in a single patch makes it impossible to measure and balance each aspect individually.

If something is off is it because of the itemization? the champ rework? the dragons?

We changed everything so we can't really know.

IMO the dragons are way too massive, the percentages are just too f'ing high. Ditto for the rift herald buff.

I thought the whole point of things like vision/timer changes for jungle buffs/dragon/baron were to make the game less snowbally, not more?

How is a 20 minute herald buff, an 8% AP/DMG increase, or a 10% restoration of missing health/mana every 10 secs, not going to snowball the game?

I really don't find uninstalling that dramatic of a jesture. You can get the game back anytime. Just doesn't compare to breaking disc/cattrage and burning the cd key.

It's just really depressing when the game changes so radically that I am no longer any good at it. Season 5 I'm sure given enough time I could have hit diamond. I had gained 400 elo in 5 days and ended in P1. Then preseason hit. I've been on a serious slide since then. The game isn't favorable to warding, farming, and trying to play defensive. If you don't snowball hard then you automatically lose.

The rest I don't care about. But, when GC worked at Blizzard, WoW was fun. I enjoyed it. This new guy took WoW and simplified it so fucking much that I couldn't stay awake playing the game. I quit, after playing for OVER 10 YEARS, the day the 6.0 prepatch came out. I have not gone back since, and I still miss WoW, and wish so badly that I could go back to it and have an MMO to call home.

So, honestly, I'm happy that GC is at Riot. Maybe things will get a bit better in the long run.

Ghostcrawler is who started the pruning and simplifying.

That said, the OP is just a crybaby. Metas and playstyles change all the time. In a year maybe it's something entirely different. Suck it up or uinstall.

this game just became as boring as many other MOBA its became the generic stuff before they screw up big time with jauggernauts and than marksman and now mage i feel like playing league of legend 2 and its gone the full worng way bring back league of legend 1 ffs
