Plating gold is still a terrible mechanic that should have been removed in the pre-season

Why is it still in the game?

Nothing has changed to make it anything other than bags of gold for laners who are already ahead. They're already going to leave lane with a couple thousand gold advantage, they don't need the extra 800 gold on top of that.

I actually like that mechanic. When i played supports, that first push gave me just enough gold to get those starting items.
