was veigar e that bad

i'm picking up veigar, and i seem to be winning alot with him, their are times when i notice i could be stun if it was the old veigar but it honestly doesn't feel like his e all to weak, i still land it plenty of times, and when i land it in a team fight then w, the other team starts to run around like chickens with their heads cut off as the rest of my team goes in for the clean up. i just hardly feel the frustration landing it as the other veigar mains claim, it could be because i'm just playing at a lower level, in fact i'm sure its that seeing that only one person since i started playing veigar has ever bought a banshee against me, but is it really that bad?

His E is fine.Is just people whine cause they dont have point and click 2.5s aoe stun anymore.

It's overall much worse for Veigar in a few ways. First, his w rarely lands without hard cc on the target and his w wasn't buffed at all when the e was nerfed. Second at perhaps most importantly, several champs can near 100-0 Veigar before the cage even comes up making it weaker defensively as well. The spell is still useful in teamfights, but near useless in lane without a gank the majority of the time effectively giving Veigar only his Q to use in lane, which is easily creep blocked.

The higher you go up in ranks the better players become at avoiding his stun, I almost never get raw stuns in my games. For me to stun someone I usually need to follow up on teammate cc

It's more defensively, anybody with have a brain can move with the delay it has.

Its fine, you just have to think about where you place it now. Its just harder to use offensively now.

Instead of just drop the wall on someone to instantly stun them for 2.5 seconds without them being able to react to it at all. It was borderline stupid design.

it wasn't, players were just upset that they couldn't go the standard build every single game just because a veigar was in their game.

QSS, merc treds, banshees veil, guardian angel, "shouldn't be built just because a veigar was in the room" yet if they were the veigar was almost always decimated.

players who hated it are those who ran into a master and didn't like how easily they placed the 50 unit sliver of a stun on your tiny teemo hitbox, and then proceeded to blow you up because you had no team and were all alone. (tell me whats so different about a khazix or a rengar insta poping you vs the sliver stun or bust((seriously if he missed it he was just batched, you could chase him and kill him super easily if he was stun less))

I'm with you on this as well. I played Veigar a lot pre-rework and honestly, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

It really isn't that bad, the reason people are upset is because a good spell was traded for a "not that bad spell" without gaining anything in return aside from additional nerfs on a champ that was fairly rare to find in games already. His play style was also entirely shifted because of this for the worse, needing opponents to outplay themselves or get help from your jg to do anything remotely aggressive in lane.

The nerf to Veigar's E was completely necessary 'cause it was so OP and unfair and it had no counterplay if you were a pro who could land the instastun combo. Like, I played a lot of Veigar games before the nerfs and I'd sometimes regularly go 30/something(10? 20? 1?) 'cause I could just burst everybody to death and even try out some trollish builds 'cause I was doing so well like building Nashors tooth and Lichbanes on Veigar and just chunking like everybody's health to like half or something with a Q and an auto

at least now he has some counterplay and requires like actual skill to play

that instant stun felt so cheap and dirty to use later on

He had less than a 50% win rate before, the reason they nerfed his E is because Koreans were using him as a support and they didnt want supports have a 2.5s stun on a 14s cooldown that had the potential to hit more than 1 person (which was still rare)

XD jeah, he had no counterplay, are we talking about the same game? Never played Zed, Talon, Fizz etc.? Never bought defensive items against him?

He was fine for four seasons, since every decent player know how to counter him (thats why he was rarly seen in LCS). Its your fault if you buy full ap glass canon and then expect to survive against AN AP NUKER.

And its quite funny how you are telling people that he now requires skill, please tell me how every master and diamond player got free elo with Veigar.

I see you have a win rate of "27.3%" with him, so you have no skill at all or? ( you said he need skil now, so what is your excuse now?

Tbh i actually like the new one better... It feels like more smooth... as the stun closes on them and you begin to aim W as its closing

SirPacifista1 votes

jeah, so you like the new one because it has a delay now? (that was your only point in your post)

you could do everything he does now, just more reliably if you were good.
