Sword of the Mage [New Item Concept]

This is going to be very unique concept where your basic attacks gain a large ability power ratio but only does magic damage, so a basic attack replacement, and your spell damage takes a large hit with this item.

Sword of the Mage: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1600g) + Stinger (1250g) + 650g = 3500g

Statistics: +120 Ability Power +50% Attack Speed +10% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive - Magic Stab: Basic attacks are replaced to deal 25(+75%AP) as magic damage instead of 100% AD as physical damage, but your spells deal 50% damage instead of 100%. (50% damage against structures) +UNIQUE Passive: Every 100 Ability Power grants Magic Stab a 5% chance to critically strike to deal 150% damage instead of 100%.

The meta changing item right here, basically this allows mages to go a sustain damage route for their damage suppose to a burst damage route through spells. Before anyone asks, this is less than ideal on Azir since the passive would half the damage on his soldiers since they count as a spell despite being a basic attack replacement. If you put this item with Hurricane the bolts will be half the Magic Stab damage while the main target will take the full damage following the Hurricane rules while on-hit effects will be fully applied like Nashor's Tooth.

Feedback is considered, douche bags are looked down upon, and have a nice day! ~ Stacona

EDIT: Passive damage changed and lowered to 25(+75%AP) from (+20%AD)(+100%AP) as magic damage.

P.S. Since you people cannot read, this item is NOT on-hit, so stop comparing it to Nashor's Tooth - the items will have synergy with each other.

We don't need this, we have a mastery for a general AP>heavier aa's purpose, and this seems MEGA OP. I mean, what's to stop me from picking up Corki, running this with an AP build, and demolishing everyone as I now have good use of zhonya's + hexblade + Archangels for maximum damage and safety?

Just no...

Nothing would stop you and nothing would be wrong with opening up new things like AP Corki once again

Too OP. Nashors is good enough for an AP on hit item.

its not an on-hit item, Nashor's Tooth is

I like the concept, but the numbers would need some tweaking. This would make AP Yi viable again. Not sure how I'd feel about that.

AP Yi where they removed his AP spell literally removed it- but overall you are the only one that know how to comment where you state you are interested and then state a concern in a calming manner - i hate it when people come to my concept posts and yell OP and downvote, it is a concept / very rough base idea and balancing to my idea will happen with feedback, but this community does not know what the word concept means and think it means 100% polished up item and needs no work whatsoever

holy crap what an overpowered item lol

any item that turns ap into autos needs to be severely crippled because you can build twice as much AP as you can AD. imagine someone with 700 AD on their auto attacks? its like double the strength of an adc! look at nashor's tooth if you want an example. the item only has 50 AP and only 15% of AP is dealt as bonus damage

"Sword of the Mage" sounds like

What about "Blade of the Magi"

edit - oh and yea that item is completely broken The combine cost would need to be like 6k for all the stuff you added onto it

So you mean you want a ridiculously OP version of item 3115 ?
