Because having that guy in your team who says

making ranked require champion mastery 1 would make sense as it would guarantee people have played it at least a couple games

not like its hard to get mastery level 1 only takes a couple games.

u sure i thought it was more but i could test that out there probably are champions left i don't have 1 mastery point with

Anyway i picked 1 becuase thats what you probably have the most of besides no mastery at all. because if this were implemented you could only go ranked with at least mastery 1 in 20 champions
