as far as i understand, there is no time limit between stages when your team needs to start the next wave.
gp10 runes continue ticking during that downtime. depending how patient you are with the missions, you can get a 6 item build before the second wave even starts.

SomethingAncient3 votesActually, there is a time limit between stages. If you stay for too long then a boss monster runs through your group killing whoever is locked in the path. It's like 2 guaranteed deaths before you start the round.

as far as ive seen, you can buy items with the gold that runes generate. i dont think your items are going to be taken away once you bought them?

the question is, for how long can you wait? could you just afk until you made more gold than the final stage would give you?
SchmidttyGames1 votesThat depends on your team and the time limits. I played a game with them and the end told me I had earned 167 more gold than my teammates, so it really wasn't worth it. However, if you're working with a group, it could work if everyone was doing it.
For Onslaught, you really don't have time to let this farm up either way.

i was running a support runepage and they worked.
as far as i can tell it doesnt matter how many kills you get. everyone gets the same amount of gold per stage.
