Many companies have rewards to people who have been with them from the beginning, Riot shouldn't cater just because you didnt find the game in time. Sorry but no, if they kept there word it wouldn't be released at all. They are plenty greedy, they are just trying to soften the blow so you don't quit and keep spending money.
When most the people who own the original are gone they'll give the updated effects to everyone to reinvigorate the market for the skin.

That would be reasonable if championship Riven wasn't the only championship skin that got locked away like that. Other vintage skins are fine, but this trend could only go on for so long until CS Riven got a re-release. I mean, if every single Chapionship skin got locked into the vault, you'd have a case, then I could flaunt my CS Shyvana all day, but no one gives a shit because they'll get it next year.

I dont mind it, I appreciate that they gave us the crown and border. Im glad Riot brings it back for those Riven mains who have wanted it forever. While also showing some Appreciation for the people who supported them when they said they were going to do something.
