Seriously Rengar has been in my game the past 5 games and he is always fed. I know that's not all lethality because rengar and his innate ability to one shot people at level 4 exist but now I get to see lucian, mf, and fucking draven right click on me for 2/3 of my health. This is how you fix the problem with the game right here.

Side note, if you're willing to basically undo the changes you made to armor pen and allow anyone to build it and be broken, why aren't you willing to undo the jungle changes?

What I do not understand is what was wrong with armour pen to begin with. I know that the armour pen options to most assassins was flat, but they could just change items to make it percent.

Also, is magic pen fine as is? I know magic damage is fine but this is just out of pure curiosity.

MF has always built armour pen, with Black Cleaver. But it was just that (Also Lucian) but now they are getting more of it, which makes it a pain to deal with.

Armor pen became a problem because it was stacked with Black Cleaver or Last Whisper.

Apparently Riot hasn't figured out that they should swap the priority formula back.

Currently its %reduction->Flat reduction->% pen->Flat pen.

It used to be Flat reduction->%reduction->Flat pen->%pen, and that's what it needs to return to.

The problem with armor pen was that it was a stat that exaggerated snowballing to an unhealthy degree.

The fact that lethality at this point is just armor pen numbers that scale higher than armor pen used to is an irony that has not been missed.

Also, flat magic pen is kept rare because Jesus fuck the burst patterns it enabled.

They just need to stop it from working on marksmen nearly as well tbh, and nerf it to 50% base 50% scaling, assassins arent even the ones abusing it RN. It's Jhin/MF/Varus Just like the reason armor pen was changed in the first place. Jhin ulting squishies to death from out rageous distance away isn't fun. MF ulting an entire team and killing the squishies isn't fun. Varus is actually OKAY with it imo, his Q does ridiculous damage but atleast it has some form of counter play. Where as mf/jhin ult don't really. I know you are going to say "tanks can step in front of jhin ult" Which is true, but your tank "usually top lane" isn't always in fights until late mid game.

You say "killing squishies" but mf with full lethality doesn't give a shit unless they have more than two armor items. And even then she still half healths the tanks.
