gnar, vel koz, ekko, tahm were made within the past year and all of their passives include having stacks to empower attacks, can you be more original please and stop giving overloaded kits these empowered abilities.

It's a reward for extended combat or landing proper abilities.

First there was Jax 's original ultimate with an empowered auto every 3 autos. And then Riot was like "great concept, let's put that on ALL the new champs"

Except Aatrox's stacks are on himself, not the enemy. Don't forget Xin Zhao or Nunu's passive (5 stacks) or Kennen's W passive (5 stacks) or Ahri's passive (9 stacks, limited to 3 per spell), or Caitlyn's passive (7 stacks, doubled in bushes).

1 is pointless, 2 is too little, and 4 or 5 is arguably too much.

EDIT: That said, it would be better if it was more like Varus who builds up stacks then actually has to use a skill shot to land an ability to consume the marks.
