So will Riot actually make new Evelynn useful because pre-rework shits on her in every aspect

Or are we wrong? is the community wrong? is reddit wrong too?

  • All that power in W and its completely telegraphed
  • No stealth till 6 because lets actually make her useless early
  • Passive makes no sense thematically nor gives any real purpose she HAD one of the highest HP regens before always healed back with item 1039
  • Most of the viable junglers rn have **reliable ** gap closers, ways to quickly hop over walls and shit with little problems

Everyone listed can easily catch Evelynn after she ults because there "gapcloser" is a basic spell ability, you limited hers with it on her ult ONLY, that with a telegraphed kit makes her sub par no matter how much you buff her, her core is trash for an assassin and a jungler period.

Runes reforged wont help her if your waiting for that to go live you might as well say all of her enemies will also be far more stronger than her cus they beat her RN her enemies will be stronger with the new runes as well.

People fail to realize Eve came at a very inopportune time. Because preseason (therefore runes reforged) is just one week away the game designer behind the Eve rework went very conservative with her power budget.

Yes, she is not viable currently but once the dust settles after preseason I am SURE they will change her to be viable. Just look at Urgot: when he was reworked he was hot garbage but now Riot changed his numbers and he is a pretty good spot.

On the meantime, I will tell you I have had success with Eve (going 15/3 and the like), but you have to play her really weirdly to do so. You have to rush 6 and only gank pre 6 if the enemy is pushed out. Once 6 you have to chain gank people until you get fed. You don't use your charm to gank/pick unless the kill is already easy (person is way out of position or you have a buddy to CC the enemy) or you want to zone out your target's peeler. During mid game rather than pushing or farming you have to focus on picks a lot-- most of your power comes from the enemy not knowing where you are and being coy because of it

If the enemy team knows how to pink ward or late game arrives when they all have zhonias, GA and a ton of support shields you become irrelevant and your best hope is to create engages for your team with your W+Q

NOTE: I am not defending Eve's current state, I want her numbers to be changed just as everyone else. I am simply explaining why she is where she currently and explaining her optimal play pattern as of now.

It's not just her numbers though. It's her kit. Her W doesn't serve the purpose they intended to serve... i mean. unless Riot meant for her not to be able to target the squishy champions... its best used on the tanks cause they're in the front and easy to get to.... cause you know, she has no gap closer. Not very assassin like.

Her E is not a gap closer... and it does max health damage. That's best used on TANKS once again.

And her ultimate has an execute if targets life is low enough... but if an adc is lower enough to trigger it they would of died anyway... wait for it... ITS BEST USED ON TANKS. Holy shit. What an assassin.

Don't bother picking Eve any more. Riot doesn't really intend for their 100+ characters to be viable. They got the core characters that they see the pros like and they tweak those champions. All other champs get minor updates once in a blue moon so they can go, "look guys, we still know who have champions.". I mean, I cannot fathom how this Evelynn made it to live...

Her kit is so trash. Huge counter play on every one of her abilities... Your opponent has to be retarded to get hit by charm. She has no chance at being an assassin. Her moves and most effective play style is to build her like an AP bruiser, which is exactly what Riot said they didn't want her to be. If those retards even play tested her with actual gold players instead of they play-tester scrub bronzies, her glaring flaws would have been pointed out. Since they cater to pro players so much, they should at least have pro players test and have input on upcoming reworks or heroes. That why they can get their prospective.

If u wanna know how hard her charm is to land pick Eve in ranked , roam around come mid game and start looking for picks like any other assassin you would play.. you will then notice your enemy just has block or hug ANY desired target you wanna charm i mean they have 2.5 seconds to react sooo.. yeah thats eve as an assassin rn

Your dense. Her kit will never make a good assassin. She might make a good bruiser just for the fact her charm make make the enemy tank not want to engage. But that will just show Riot failed to make an Assassin, like they always do when they try and change Eve.

I belive Riot stated they arn't going to buff Eve till after pre-season hits, they want to see what her state is after runes reforged and then balence her alongside everyone else in the fallout

As much as I hate that fact (New Eve is fun) I will agree with them its probs for the best

I personally like her kit more than other assassins. Other assassins have a gapcloser meaning they often jump in, get the kill jump out.

Evelynn has to dane around her target and have a very good positionning. It is fairly hard to achieve and it is true that she is currently underpowered and needs changes (mostly to her E), but please do not add any gapcloser. We have enough mobility creep in the game already, add more power in the rest of her kit.

Both previous versions of Eve were better in every way. The remake feels more like Soraka the crippled assassin.

She needs to get that 60% reduction on Q for hitting champions aswell. It will help her significantly. Or just straight up give her old Q back

Agree on this one 100%.

If Eve is going to be an Assassin rather than a melee Burst Mage, she needs to have the option to follow-up her combo if the initial burst doesn't kill her priority target.

Honestly, I can't figure out why Riot didn't just make Eve a Skirmisher if they wanted her damage to be spread out. High sustained damage with only moderate target access is a Skirmisher's profile.
