Rakan's CD are too long

I played him a few times and it feels like his spells cooldown are wayyyy too long both early and lategame, even with 40% CDR. If you miss your W you have to burn E to get out and you're a sitting duck for the next 20 seconds. His Q is the most underwhelming Q ability i've seen on any champion. Low range, low damage, no CC, single target skillshot that offers a weak heal ONLY if it hit a target and it's blocked by minions.

At least other supports with long cooldowns have some kind of passive that they can rely on to dish out a bit of extra damage and apply pressure or offer utility.

Rakan's W is similar to Alistar's W-Q combo in both function and cooldown, but at least Alistar is tankier and can still follow up with his passive and Trample for some additionnal presence.

Taric has very long cooldown too, but he has passive to deal extra damage and shorten his cooldowns.

I'm still having fun with Rakan, it just feels reaaallly lame when i miss a combo and am left with nothing to do for almost 20 seconds.

I wouldn't buff any cooldowns on him. He seems fine from what I have played with him and vs him. If he has lower cooldowns he will end up rather oppressive in lane.

Rakan has high cooldowns so that if you don't land your combo the enemy team can punish you for it. its the exact same thing with blitz Q having a high cooldown early game, if blitz misses his Q he loses all his laning pressure for about 15 seconds. If Rakan had low cooldowns he would be to strong, his W and ult have the potential to cc an entire enemy team, if his W or R were any lower of a cooldown he would become a must pick or ban type of champion

They look long but they aren't that bad.

Alistair has a smaller CD but has to blow two spells for it. And while his E has a massive CD at first, the fact that the CD starts on the initial makes it so the downtime isn't that bad as long as you don't blow both of them instantly.

While I personally think he needs some buffs or changes, I think his cooldowns are far from where the main problem.

Well either shorter cooldowns, or something to do inbetween, like empowered autos like Thresh/Taric/Lulu.

False. He is a strong support great at engaging and has heals. Hes kinda OP atm because not only he has a bit of range on his autos he can also escape easily with his ult
