Anti-Shield... Should I just give up playing now?

This is a purely ridiculous thing to add to the game. It is going to destroy enchanters in botlane and make the mid-lane mages , . . , which have been forced out of midlane by the newer, more power crept mages and assassins, (eg. , , ) the dominant picks in botlane. Enchanters are my favorite champions in the game because I don't think the game should be out straight up killing the enemy and I like to feel useful from my team, save them from death, help them in battle ect.

This move, all just because Riot can't counter without her mains complaining about it as they've stuffed her full of so much love, she's practically carrying multiple STD's. This will destroy enchanters and ensure that will counter every enchanter support in the game.

IT'S COWARDICE. A FAILURE by Riot to face up to their own responsibilities and nerf something for the good of the game rather then to the benefit of Riven mains.

Is this just so you can keep the "Non-supports", people who get autofilled and think playing means "I'm helping" happy?

Great... more edgelord supports in botlane... might as well name this game "League of Edgelords"... there is one in every lane now.

I miss when supports could actually supports. To be honest I like the bot mages because they make games more interesting but there is no such thing as peel anymore because everyone one shots each other

Blitz R = 90 second cooldown early game

Average Enchanter Shield = 10 - 12 seconds.

just ban blitz and you are good to go, i mean he was already a strong anti enchantress champ so its not much different, besides his ulti have way way higher cool down then your shield [and your adc is super ded if he got hooked into blitz combo anyway, this is more of later stages change vs aoe shield givers like karma or tanks like tahm]

call pyke an edge lord as much as you want, its way more fun to play him/mages then playing one of those boring enchantress [not sure if Rakan count as enchantress but he is extremely fun to play and i will admit that] , support is not just a word for ward/heal bots, CC style champions like Pyke Leona Blitzcrank are supports as much as your enchantress , and mages tend to have CC as will Morgana Lux while also creating a real threat that enemy have to take down so they give some room for their carries to survive.

honestly you talk about support as if it should be limited to the enchanters, as if they're the only REAL supports. In truth support isn't a class in this game, it's just a position on the map. Mages have gone there for ages, enchanters are literally just mages tbh. Both guardian and Vanguard subclasses of tanks have gone there for ages. what gives you the right to call yourself a support when playing things like Soraka Karma Janna but not me because i like Nautilus Lux Leona Pyke ?

Then the drivel about edgy champs. So what do you want? riot to pander to your uwu class? do some of these really go over the top with edge? yes sure when i play Kayn i rush rhaast just to get rid of him, is Yasuo as lame as a dubbed anime protag? yeah. but this is a pg 13 game, did you expect pyke to go full mortal kombat on someone's ass? There's plenty of other champs that can go support that cater to a pletora of archetypes wether they be edgy or cutsie or anything aside from those. honestly kinda funny how you bitch about edgelords while sounding like one multiple times.

stating this is purely to please riven mains is silly too. If her counters get buffed that's still a nerf to riven. Riot also talked about exploring shieldbreaking more quite a while ago, noone liked the shieldbot meta.

Blitz has to burn his Ult and be relatively in melee range to break shields. Janna and Lulu shouldn't be within 300 feet of Blitz with R up anyway, particularly since it has the Silence on it. Regardless of the change Lulu cant Whimsy or Wild Growth to save you if shes silenced but youre rewarded for holding Eye of the Storm etc for after Blitz R.

Renekton gets a lot more freedom to use it but it shuts out his self heal and burns his CC ability too so hes a lot more vulnerable after he breaks the shield - or uses the stun and cant use his W again do youre free to shield. Its going to hurt Malphite and Rumble a lot though, and Kench/Yuumi get hard countered by Blitz and Renekton now if they dont lose lane drastically.

As if Yuumi stood a chance at winning a game against Blitz that wasnt AFK already.

Enjoy game while you can. Now it is niche mechanics but is set precedent and it will not stop with renekton my guess who is nex in lane for anti shield will be riot golden children yasuo, zed, riven and more. Then game will completely collapse on itself and become unplayable for majority of players.

As a player who mains an enchanter support, it feels like Blitzcrank's existence invalidates my ban. There's always at least one hook support that's currently top tier. But do I get to ban them? Sure, if I want to play against Blitzcrank. And if I ban Blitzcrank? Then I get Thresh. Or Leona. Or Nautilus. Or Pyke. Whichever one is currently overbuffed.

And when I finally get to stop banning Blitzcrank because he's a Rakan tier rare pick now? Riot decides to make him counter my class even harder.

Riot should just rename "bans" to "suggestions". Because that's all they're good for. Suggesting to the enemy what they should pick for an easy game. And rename Blitzcrank to NoBanForYouCrank.

NEWFLASH IF A CHAMPION IS BAD IN A LANE THEY DON'T GO TO A DIFFERENT LANE. So this idea that mid lane mages get pushed into support is just completely bs. Brand is not being played as support because he can't mid anymore he is going support since he can SUPPORT like I'm pretty sure calling him a mid laner is just wrong at this time due to him basically being played and nerfed for support for so long.

Enchanters have been like the most played class in support for like TWO SEASONS. So yeah a counter would be nice and also NEWFLASH NOT allenchanters shield.

Like BASICALLY EVERY PLAYS NORMAL SUPPORTS RIGHT NOW so top 5 most popular supports in diamond are Thresh , Pyke , Lux , Yuumi and Karma hmmm NONE OF THEM ARE PICKED FOR DAMAGE they're picked for utility and cc. Brand has about a 3% play rate yep he is good lol.

Yall understand that renekton W requires 50 fury to break shields right? It's a decision his players need to make not to mention its single target AND melee AND using it removes his empowered Q which is his main sustain ability. Also if blitzcrank pulls your shielded ADC and rekts their shield good job to them for landing that hook. OR if he flashes in to remove karma ulti then that's his play putting himself into danger in order to make the teamfight winnable. Yall actually freaking out as if every shield you use magically disapperates like cmon.
