When will Riot admit that modern assassins are too forgiving?

Considering that most assassin players have mobility to get both in and out of a fight (something most other champion classes don't have). When will Riot admit that this class is still way too forgiving to play?

I understand people want to believe they are about high "skill" but "skill" is not about game knowledge anymore, its simply muscle memory or reaction time. That is not really skill as Assassins are not having to make an meaningful decisions and can risk themselves meaninglessly again and again because they have no punishment for using their abilities recklessly.

Compared to most other champions, assassins are too forgiving but they have never been changed because they bring in the big bucks of LCS, despite having superior kits to most other champions in the game. (I've never been impressed with a Zed jumping back and forth or an Akali shooting back and forth because no other champion can do that). Let's not mention Pyke and how forgiving he is at the moment too.

Assassins SHOULD be: High Risk/High Reward NOT Low Risk/High Reward as they are now.

Feel free to downvote but I do feel that modern assassins are far too forgiving at the moment so that Riot can put LCS above normal people who enjoy playing the game.

Creating an elitist environment that limits player accessibility is ultimately self-defeating for a video games company so its not wonder that Riot's business is starting to decline.

That is the reason I like the designs of, for example, Fizz, Ekko, and sort of Talon and dislike the designs of, for example, Eve, Zed, and LeBlanc. The first set of champions has to choose between maximizing damage and having an escape and the second set is guaranteed both.

Could you please provide list of how many assassins is being played in proplay compared to other classes?

Also, you will say something like "No need to play them all, these few can provide enough flashy plays", which is of course subjective and any good play, be it good Azirs R, Sejus R, majority of allins by adcs, good pick by any skirmish, good engages could be called flashy play...

Here is incomplete list for ya, classes might be little bit mixed up, but it's ok.

Bruisers - Aatrox Camille Irelia JarvanIV Kled Olaf Renekton Gangplank Jayce Tanks - Braum Sejuani Nautilus TahmKench GragasAlistar Volibear Adcs - Ezreal Xayah Kaisa Lucian Sivir Tristana Corki Varus Assassins - Akali Sylas Qiyana Leblanc Elise Pyke Mages - Azir Karma Vladimir Enchanter - Yuumi Karma Rakan

I've been saying this for a while. Riot has lowered the skill cap to keep mediocre players happy. High damage champions should be much harder to play, but they are so safe these days that they don't require the skill they used to.

For me personally, skill expression is more about using a champion's kit to outplay an opponent rather than dumping out a quick combo. For example: I consider assassins much higher skill champions than lets say mages, because instead of limiting your opponent's options with hard cc or ranged poke, you are trying to time your engage properly in order to use your own kit to avoid your opponent's strengths and secure a kill through your own strengths. Yeah, I could just pick a mage that can safely wave-clear and cc enemies from a screen away, or just throw out a burst combo on a stunned target, but I enjoy playing a champion that has to time my aggression accordingly and look to punish misplays.

Guess I just don't understand why you are labeling assassins as forgiving when most are melee with very little to no cc in their kits.

That's the point of assassins though. They're supposed to be capable of getting in and then out, but I do agree with you. The same tools that allow them to get in can also be used to cockblock, so it's actually an uphill battle to punish them since they're surprisingly safe. Zed will just W away and farm with Q while W is down, not too bad here. Then there's Akali who will slow you as you try to approach, use her passive movespeed to get further, dash away, pop shroud, then dash away again if you were somehow fast enough to keep up with the first disengages.
