Is it bad i can not ADC?

I can mid, jung, top and support well enough but I get crapped on as an ADC. I can play Quinn alright but she is not an ideal ADC due to range and eaisly gets poked down by a most meta ADCs like Caitlyn, MF and and better in a solo lane. I shit on mids, tops and sometimes jung as Quinn I love her. But as EZ, ashe, trist and even Graves I seem to do terrible in ranked or even norms. Typically Graves is easier to do but I just do not know how to get better at ADC when there is such a disparity from norms and ranked. I will either shit on people, get shut down or play safe and do basically nothing even in late game. I have "mastery" of Graves but still perform kinda meh with him in ranked. Now that this new que is out I dont have to play ADC but I would like to know how to play it better since it does help in the long run. I watch guides like phylol and doublelift. And i know the abilities and matchups. Just rather lackluster at laning as an ADC which is half of the role and impacts teamfights. Please let me know what i can do better.

Try Kog'Maw and Draven if you want to get a basic gist of ADC if you ask me. That may seem weird, since Draven and Kog'Maw are probably regarded to have fairly high skill ceilings in terms of maximizing DPS, however they teach you some important things.

With Kog'Maw, you will find that you can just stand still and auto until either the entire enemy team or you are dead, which is what most people do, but you will quickly learn that you will die very quickly, and will have to master the art of auto walk auto walk auto walk

With Draven, you have to juggle CSing and catching axes, you will learn to time your autos better and possibly last hit by hitting high hp minions, wait for the lower hp minions to get to a certain point and then kill it so you can just worry about your axe instead of panicking to get the last hit in and miss an axe. And by always having axe positions on the brain, you will have your own in mind too and will constantly be looking to reposition yourself because a Draven who stands still, quite frankly isn't a good one.

Caitlyn is pretty simple, safe, forgiving, and does a crap load of dmg

Nothing wrong with not being able to play as an ADC/Marksman. Sometimes a role just isn't meant for you. So far I'm really enjoying playing Mid as my primary and Jungle/Support as my secondaries (though I'm still trying to get at least decent, from my perspective, at jungling by playing norms often). I plan on testing the waters of top and bot carry again and more often to see how I fair and if its a role for me.

Thank you. This new season is really different in lots of good ways. I can marksman fine though just not at bot ADC lol.

ADC is all about CSing and positioning. There are several good guides and videos online that will help you out tons.

Another thing you will want to do is find out which style of ADC fits your playstyle best (caster, AA, hybrid, lane bully, hyper carry).
