I'm diamond 3 and today I watched a jungle Nunu lose baron twice

First time Lee smited it without landing Q Second time Lee smited early, Nunu smited early, Nunu didn't consume and Karma took it with Q

Well worse things happen though. I remember stealing baron with Alistars passive (Their jungler was dead though). Or I remember our jungler smiting early and a thresh hook stole it.

I think Diamond V is probably the worst in terms of attitudes though. Once people hit that d5 status they are all of sudden analyst pros at the game and their opinion is the only right one.

any "5's" tier is just the collection of bottom players who are "better than the whole league below them of 3, 4 and 5" but dont fall out due to grace from riot. and on average they're 1 or 2 divisions above where they belong.

I love the stupidity of one guy who has just reached Gold V, and then brags to us low elos so much that makes people think he can beat TSM solo.

and yet his mmr is clearly very close to yours (im assuming he was in the same ranked que as you)...so how much better could he really be?

Elo Hell is the MMR that you are stuck in. Doesn't matter if it's bronze 3, plat 2, ect...

Common misconception here. You don't actually come out and say this, but you imply it and lots of people have said it before you, so let's set this straight.

Players in division V can have MMR below their league, since they'll only get demoted if their MMR is an entire league below their rank. But the match making system doesn't group you against people based on your rank. You get matched up with people around your skill level regardless of their division, so if you are legitimately Gold V MMR (or whatever), you won't get matched up with someone who is technically in Gold V but whose MMR is Silver IV. So the idea that division V is elo hell is wrong. If you're getting matched with those people, then that's your skill level too. For now, at least.

Last time I played ranked seriously (which was a while ago, I know better now) I had the opposite experience: Silver I was just the worst, and then as soon as I broke into Gold V I had much better games and almost immediately advanced to Gold IV.
