I dont see the problem from this. I think that slide early experience lead isn't affecting your game at all. They have to walk around the whole game with smite for that early lvl 2. i think you get way more pressure with a ignite for example. I wouldn't mind if the enemy opponent took smite over ignite. And btw riot is already nerfing Aatrox dmg to monsters next patch. So you have nothing to worry about.
