Let's Talk Twitch

I love this champion. I've accumulated over 100k mastery points on this nasty rodent, but, while he isn't underpowered per se, half his kit just feels like it had a stroke and died. All his power lies in his Q and R. His W and E need buffs because, oh boy, do they feel underwhelming.

-Venom Cask deals a total of 24 to 72 damage based on level. That's some seriously feeble damage. The slow is also a measly 25% until you start maxing it out last of all his spells. Then it grows to 45%. -Contaminate is a MUST max first, or it does absolutely pitiful damage. And it sorta does anyways unless you have 6 stacks on the enemy, or a good level advantage over them.

Riot has been trying to push Twitch into the assassin role by making his Q reset on kill or assist, and, he's alright being an assassin. Not great not terrible. Twitch can do ludicrous damage at full build with his big-ticket items item 3031 item 3142 item 3085 item 3035, while his ult is active. He can't do much early (because his W and E are quite weak spells, and he can't do much while his ult is down.

So, what is a rat to do during his ult's downtime? Welp, that's the issue. He kinda just sits around and farms, waiting for those five seconds of Spray-and-Pray ecstasy. This is the core problem with Twitch right now. His kit augments his Ult super well, but doesn't stand very tall without it. There are two solutions to this problem: Return Twitch's ultimate duration to seven seconds, or buff his Venom Cask and Contaminate so he can compete while his ult is down. Riot has shown that they prefer moving forward to moving backward in terms of balance changes by never reverting them, and have clearly stated that they want Twitch to be an assassin centered more around his stealth (because Rengar and Eve are so healthy) than around his super unique, hard to use but very rewarding ultimate, which, in my opinion holds most of Twitch's identity and theme. But if Riot is adamant about turning Twitch into an assassin, they're going to have to buff his basic kit.

Sorry for getting passive aggressive in the last paragraph, but damn I've gotten no feedback from Riot when I ask about Twitch and it does make me angry. I want this champion's identity to stay intact.

Twitch is in a good spot. Two autos proc thunderlords, he's not as much as a joke in lane like Kog'Maw. I think E is awful though, its like a shitty version of rend

That's what I'm saying, his E feels horrid. Consumes so much mana, does sorry damage.

But the reason buffing Contaminate won't make Twitch op is because his W and E don't modify his auto attacks. It'd be like if Corki 's Q was buffed. It wouldn't make his crits any stronger because the spells don't carry over into late game or synergize with building crit. They just supplement for his lane phase and ult downtime.
