lower divisions should have different gold gain

It's like how little league baseball have a smaller size field than in the major leagues. the way I see it silver is like 8th to 10th grade, gold to plat like highschool to lower division college, diamond like division 1 college and masters is proleague.

silver is where the majority of players are and if it was like basketball or any number of sport, it would be a lot less fun to play if you had to try and dunk on a super high net that taller basketball players can reach easier. In that sense pro LOL player have near flawless CS and this makes reaching desired item thresholds before the game ends more doable.

Now, the amount could very well be quite small, if lower elo have more kills early game in general (would need data on this).

Games end at around 25 min pretty much regardless of what division you are in. according to : https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/game-durations Pairing game length with knowing what the average gold amounts are by division, we could gain some insights into how the game feels different for some and whether its less fun for some divisions than others. because at lower elos that moment when you reach mid to late item builds (like 3.5 or so items) could likely be farther into the game than what we see in competitive matches.

that said, it could also be that lower elo make up for less gold from farming by having more kills on scoreboard than there is in competitive. and so the gold is about the same.

if gold gain is less at lower elo, perhaps it would be better if gold per sec was different based on people's division.
this way Marksmen at lower elo would remain as viable as at higher elo if you rely on gold to reach late game (which is where Marksmen remain very strong). (not trying to buff adcs here either, so tweak as needed).

this is also not solely about Marksmen but also about reaching full items and having the fights feel like they evolve more/faster as the game progresses and people get more items.

made edits in op. can't hurt to just test something like this out. If people do not like it simply revert it. As far as offputting changes to the game go, Riot has gotten away with making far worse changes to the game that they eventually fixed. And from what I saw with their recent response time, they have gotten faster at hotfixing the game.
So try it out for a week or so, if there is no real negative feedback keep it for a little while longer and 5 weeks from then see if it should stay.

If anything this could be a great training exercise to get better at the iterative cycle.

Riot has responded to suggestions like this in the past--and the way they explain it is that they want the rules and mechanics of the game to be the same across all divisions. That way, if you move from gold to plat and cross their threshold, you aren't suddenly forced to re-learn rules of the game because you were playing in the little leagues until now.

The change/requirement to learn could perhaps only take place at diamond division. so now that's like 80% of player base would NOT have to learn anything really and get to experience (and relate better while watching esports) a game that plays more like what it's like to be challenger.

From a purely financial business approach, if Riot is worried this would place more burden to learn on your players, yet 80% of the player base would not have to learn a single thing, so with a less invasive (affecting small portion of players) tweak does that reason Riot gave really hold water anymore? When it will only affect say 20%,only from say high plat and above, who are likely the players that are already invested/devoted enough that they would not mind learning this tiny extra info.

high silver could be the baseline from where we try to match the gold gain with that of challenger's. Particularly for the first 30 min of the game, beyond that receiving more gold might not be needed.

Since the baseline would be high silver platinum would likely get a bit more gold than challenger. I'd rather they receive a bit more gold than the inverse which is what they likely have presently (atm they are likely getting a bit less gold overall).

If it's just gold per min that is changed and nothing else is that that hard to learn, and wouldn't it be worth while if it's more fun. and it would tell you when you climb division. Plus let's face it most of us are hardstuck XD. Also even if you do not learn about this change, you likely climbed because you got better at getting gold so the game will continue to feel the same as it adapts to your skill level.
