Who has actually gotten JackPot?

I mean, I've played over 50 games in groups, and not once have I gotten the jackpot.

What the hell is the percent chance on that? 0.5?

The fact that this whole party rewards thing is a fucking lottery in the first place is complete bullshit in my opinion. I have partied with 5 people a number of times and even though I have recieved the normal 100+ ip from winning the match I have only received between 5-15 bonus ip from party rewards. That isn't even awarding me the minimum x2 that we are supposed to be eligible for. I personally am just gonna concentrate on ranked matches cause the rewards are complete crap in the first place.

It's not meant to help you farm IP, so that's why it's a "lottery". It's just there as a bit of an incentive to play in groups with friends more often... plus this is the initial run of it, they are still gathering data from it and will obviously tweak things as they go along.

People can make premades anytime but making this thing a lottery is complete crap. It absolutely should be for farming ip cause otherwise what is the use. Considering that champions (if you want to own them all) cost between 450-6300 ip, runes (not even talking about Tier 1-2) cost between 400-1600 ip, and rune pages cost 6300 ip it should absolutely be used for farming ip and if they are gonna make it a lottery the chance to get your bonuses should be much higher than the crap we get right now.

Considering everything comes in both IP and RP with the exception of Runes, it's pretty easy to actually get it all. I know not everyone has money to spend but it's still fairly easy even if you don't.

Since you do get 100 IP from games, along with a daily IP bonus (150IP) can take about 25 games (25 days), but obviously you'll be playing more games then just 1 a day so... you factor that in as well and you can get up there fairly quickly.

I for one do own all 123 current champions and 80% of them were bought using IP. A small amount were bought using RP which were a few release bundles and a tiny amount that were left from the Champion Bundles (when they became cost flexible).

Rune pages themselves can be fairly easy as well, since they have had several 2 for 1 sales (2 for 6300IP which I did twice so that got 4 pages for the cost of 2), and well the 7 page RP bundle is very cost efficient.

You can get to 6300IP in roughly 25 days if you were to play one game a day with average win rate of 100IP + the First Win Boost of 150 (bringing it to 250 a day).

That's a really long time considering how much it costs in RP.

1 champ and no runes for a month of grinding. If the RP cost was reasonable, it'd be worth it rather than grinding for that long. But they are quite expensive. The people most likely to spend a decent amount of money (people that work, have lives, can't play several hours every day) won't end up spending it because of how long it takes to get runes or anything for IP.

Well again, most people obviously will be playing more games then just 1 a day so... you factor that in too and it will add up a lot quicker.

For most people, 1 hour spent on a game is a lot considering the tiny reward. Even people that can play 3-4 games a day will be grinding for up to a year or more just for a solid set of champs and a couple generic rune pages.

So if they're going to give you anything, it should be a lot of it, or else they're even bigger assholes than if they gave you nothing?

While playing with my friend we often didn't recieve anything.. So.. i guess it was 0.. Reverse Jackpot!

PrinceOfStorms3 votes

I've gotten it like 5 times already, so much that I assumed that it was nearly guaranteed.

DrCyanide1 votes

Really? I think the highest bonus I've ever gotten is 53 IP.

Drunk Rummate2 votes

i got it while playing with just a single friend in an ARAM so it was only ~350 ip unfortunately. but i did get it.

Usually I only get 1 or 2 IP for playing with friends. The other night I queued in Teambuilder with just one other person, and we both got 56 IP from the party reward after the game. It was a nice little bonus.

I've played around a dozen games with friends and earned exactly 0 IP from the party rewards.

Got reverse jackpot, qued with a bunch of people that I normally would not (their play leaves much to be desired) so we can hit 5 man premade. Didn't win any games.

I've gotten a bonus of 103 IP before, but only once.
