This game doesn't need as much balancing as everyone thinks it needs

Low elo players can't play safe, and this game is all about playing safe now with all of these changes making it easier to snowball out of control. You give up 3 quick kills and your team is 6 feet under with things like Rift Herald, Dragon buff bonuses and longer death timers.

And with champions like Xin Zhao, Udyr, Lux, Fiora and Graves who are champions with already high damage makes it more difficult since when you give them that one kill that they need, they spike in power much higher than they should and end up slaughtering your team.

This game doesn't need as much balancing as much as everyone on the boards complains it needs. Fact: everyone complaining about balancing to Xin Zhao is about my elo, Bronze - Silver, haven't seen one gold guy complain. What everyone complaining needs is some game sense on picking the right champion and doing the right moves.

even a Rioter said they might have gone too far with the Xin changes... so yeah

Well almost every assassin can tower dive at lv 6 now, 100-0 you, and get out without dying unless they were dumb enough to tower dive lissandra, so playing safe wont save you.

When people basically point the finger at Silver/Bronze players it makes me laugh because over 80% of the community is in bronze or silver. The game should be catering to bronze/silver players not the other way around. If they were to shit can silver/bronze players opinions they wouldn't have enough money to run their game.

Edit: Over 80% of players that disliked my comment are bronze/silver :^) it's so cute.

I'm bronze, yeah I would love it if Xin had his buff reverted and some other champs nerfed, but this game has by far the most popular e-Sport scene in all of e-Sports. Riot need to work to the pro scene more than us plebs or then Assassins and duelist champions wouldn't exist. I just need to adjust how this game is played so I hopefully don't feed.

MrwiOzV6pB1 votes

The thing is league E-sports only exists because of that 80%, without numbers it's nothing. If Riot literally didn't think about balancing all at and were to let things like this Xin thing going on people in low elo would quit like many are doing already. Even look at lux play rates at high elo as well. If things were balanced you wouldn't have people playing broken champions while Urgot sits in the corner forever alone.

Yea play safe, never leave tower ever. Make sure to use all the vision that doesnt exist in the game.

I'm pretty neutral in the sense that the differences in power are not necessarily as high as they were. However, these differences mean a lot more because, as you pointed out, the game snowballs so much harder than it used to. And while that isn't solely Riot's fault, they do have a lot of the blame.

exactly. am bronze. I always play safe. but. assassins. usually get fed. even nerfed ones like rengar. almost always get fed because. no warding. over chasing. getting thirsty for kills. and plain nonsense.

mainly though. no vision.

Yes and playing safe is precisely why it's boring. This is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.. in case you missed that BATTLE ARENA. Not "sit under tower for 30 mins to an hour and farm when you can" Arena.

Zuil1 votes

Well you don't farm under tower for 30 minutes so..

In some games you are under tower all game because if you aren't you die. Sometimes even if you are under tower you die, because some champs just go where they please with no fear of towers.

Yes there doesn't need to be that much balancing... but there is no balancing occurring. In fact the opposite is happening now. It's being unbalanced.. The problems that this game has are rather easy to fix. But we get excuses as to why they haven't been fixed. "No Resources, It's not that easy, etc"..

Also yes the team is small... But ponder this.. why is it small? This game made over a billion dollars last year, and they couldn't hire more people to work on the game? Well that means that they don't care that much about the game then. They want money, and that's it. Should have known when that Chinese company bought Riot that the game would end up this way. It's all about making money. They don't care about the people who legitimately enjoy this game, or did enjoy it before all this non-sense started.

You know what happens when you ask them why things aren't better? They tell you they don't have enough resources. Now that is a bunch of crap. Over a billion dollars made, and absolutely no resources? That just means they ran off with the money they made..

This is what happened to MMORPGs when they started going to "Free to Play" when in reality they are "Pay to Play". If MOBAs are going to go the same route as MMOs then this game is doomed. This is what happened to WoW, RuneScape, and countless other MMOs. Their devs got greedy and put relatively no money back into their product.

That is what kills an online game like League.. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of people playing this daily dropped dramatically almost as if it was over night. I also wouldn't be surprised if Smite and Dota 2 got an influx of daily players soon.

The way you described it...

1 You give up 3 quick kills and your entire team is 6 feet under

2 when you give them that one kill that they need, they spike in power much higher than they should

3 they spike in power much higher than they should

do you really think those are ingredients for balance?

Zuil1 votes

It's not balance but it's game play. I really don't like it, I liked season 3 where there was more breathing room but I said it before, I need to adjust to this.

I'm but a lowly Silver, will someone please explain to me how I can play safe when most games go something like this.

Ziggs Ziggs mid XinZhao Enemy jungler is a Xin Ziggs Gets dived by lvl 3 Xin XinZhao First blood XinZhao Snowballs Ziggs -20 LP

Ziggs Didn't lose because he didn't play safe, he lost because he picked Ziggs instead of OP's like Lux Leblanc Zed

But its alright I get what you high level players are saying, this game isn't about good decisions or skill. Its about picking 1 of the 20 OP champions and shitting on anyone who picked one of the other 110 non-viable champions

So yes, God forbid I complain that games are won or lost just by which champions your team picks just because I'm low elo.

ModCaptainMårvelous1 votes

No, you lost because you didn't play safe.

1.) How low are you that a level 3 xin can successfully dive you? 2.) How did Xin snowball? Did he keep getting kills? 3.) How would Lux, who has LESS escapes than Ziggs, be better? 4.) Generalization.jpg. "I didn't pick the OP so I lose it's the only reason I'm bad."

You're blaming champions rather than playing smart. That's excuses. That's pure NaCl in the most concentrated form.

63536895_DEL1 votes

No, you lost because you didn't play safe.

Well first of all the situation I described was hypothetical and didn't actually happen to me like you seem to think.

1.) How low are you that a level 3 xin can successfully dive you?

Silver 5 and I dive people as Shaco at lvl 3 successfully often enough and know that Xin sure as hell can too.

2.) How did Xin snowball? Did he keep getting kills?

2nd question practically answers the 1st, and we all know how incredibly hard is to get kills as Xin.

3.) How would Lux, who has LESS escapes than Ziggs, be better?

Lux has a root, a slow, and a sheild. Ziggs has a slow, and a mini knockback. Both of their slows are aoe with Lux's cover a much larger aoe, also Zigg's has an activation time before it will also slow or damage anyone. Lux has a root, Zigg's does not. Lux has a shield, Ziggs does not. Zigg's mini knockback is his escape so he has to choose between using on an enemy or himself, and isn't the most reliable of escapes. Lux has much more available to her to stop a dive than Zigg's.

4.) Generalization.jpg. "I didn't pick the OP so I lose it's the only reason I'm bad."

It says "Generalization.jpg" I assume this was supposed to be a relevant image but its not showing up, so I don't know what its supposed to mean, You can't quote something I didn't say, so you essentially made this up. "I didn't pick the OP so I lose" This is the message I was trying to convey. it's the only reason I'm bad." This is just you making stuff up and putting words in my mouth, and I have a 58% winrate in ranked so I'm not bad

You're blaming champions rather than playing smart. That's excuses. That's pure NaCl in the most concentrated form.

I blaming champions for being unfair and giving them their well deserved complaint's. Again I have a 58% winrate so I think I play smart enough.

NaCl

I don't know what this is.

Could have fooled me.

Silver 5 and I dive people as Shaco at lvl 3 successfully often enough and know that Xin sure as hell can too.

Silver 5....Yes. Cheese works in Silver 5 and people who aren't smart enough to deal with Shaco or Xin. Not surprising.

2nd question practically answers the 1st, and we all know how incredibly hard is to get kills as Xin.

Early game? Can be. He has to rely entirely on autos and one knock-up/gapcloser. You seem to think he starts the game with 15 stacks of sated.

Correction. Lux has a root, slow and shield. Ziggs has a knockback, slow and self-knockback. Lux and Ziggs cover the same AoE with their slows. Here's a crazy idea: Save Ziggs knockback for when Xin is on top of you. He has one gap closer. If he botches it, he's screwed. The goal isn't to stop the dive, it's to come out ahead. Once again: How low are you that he can dive a turret? A level three xin is nowhere near tanky enough to freely dive a turret and ZIggs should have more than enough tools to deal with him...unless you got caught. Once more, your fault, not the champion.

It says "Generalization.jpg" I assume this was supposed to be a relevant image but its not showing up, so I don't know what its supposed to mean, You can't quote something I didn't say, so you essentially made this up. This is just you making stuff up and putting words in my mouth, and I have a 58% winrate in ranked so I'm not bad

Lordy lordy this post. Generalization.jpg is me typing out that you're making a generalization in a sarcastic manner. You are completely, 100% implying that the reason pros are pros is because they abuse powerful champs. Hey, by the way, 58% winrate in Silver V means jack shit. Congratulations on shining in Silver and Bronze, let me know when you have a winrate in a tier that matters.

I blaming champions for being unfair and giving them their well deserved complaint's. Again I have a 58% winrate so I think I play smart enough.

No. You don't. You're playing in Silver V. You're not good. I'm not good. If you are Bronze-to-gold, you are terrible to decidedly average. Win rates mean nothing unless it's in the highest tier of play or it is such a high win-rate that it defies conventional logic. Silver V is nothing, a 58% win rate in Silver V is nothing and you don't know what you're talking about.

I don't know what this is.
