So why is Fizz being buffed again?

If you look on PBE the changes they're making to his passive will make him even tankier in the late game. He's already broken as f*ck with zero counterplay. Why does he need an even stronger late game?

"Fizz has ZERO COUNTER PLAY"

Also Fizz

-melee -Target dash Q meaning he needs a target to use the dash -E has a 10 second cooldown at max (late game) -Skillshot ult unlike the point and click BS of Zed or Ahri

Presumably because he's weaker than he should be.

I don't think I've seen a single Fizz this entire Season. Pretty odd for a champion that is "broken as fuck".

His new is 4+(1 for each 100AP) reduce damage from all sources eg you hit him with 100 damage either ad or ap then its 100-4=96 before armor/mr is caltcualted vs the current 4-14 based on level less damage from basic attacks.

So in order to get 14 or higher needs 1000AP. His usual build is item 3152 ,item 3100, item 3020 ,item 3157 , item 3089 and either item 3135 or item 3165 plus elixir plus 3 infernal +elder buff is 950 AP. If you sell boots and get mejais and fully stack then yes it will go around 1100 AP.

So after i tested in practice tool so. Yes blocking damage from abilites is a plus hence its a buff to early phase. But late game unless he get rabadons, mejai full stack, 3 infernals and elder draogna and elixir , fizz wont go above 1000 AP so he will lose some protection against basic attacks and he will gain vs abilities. But untill he gets enough AP he practically stuck with 4-6 blocking damage. That negible in mid game. And dont tell me that in mid lane the damage is counted by 1000s so 1000-4 is 996. 996 damage will pass through and fizz will be dead since he has low health.

In conclusion better protection against mages ( i guess from none to 4 is something) but aftet that he wont block that much against zed, talon, yasuo, jax, rene and any adc. So adc can kill him or have better chance. The mages.....all champions have low MR and the ap itemization is better and mages have strong scaling and/or base damage so that little less damage is non existant.

As someone that plays Fizz, these buffs definitely help but they don't affect any of the areas that matter when it comes to the reasons typically complain about him. From what I can tell, all this does is help him a little bit early game, it definitely isn't going to make him top tier or anything.

He is already top tier. Have you seen his winrate? 53% in gold and plat, and 52% in diamond. I didn't bother looking at other divisions, but if he's doing this well in gold-diamond he's a problem.

Yeah no, if he was "top tier" people would definitely be crying a lot harder than your post even if he got this tiny buff. Hell, even if he didn't, with a kit like fizz's people would be complaining a lot more if he was a huge problem in the game.

Winrate means nothing since his playrate is not high and he basically has no banrate. Meaning statistically he is weak.DON'T USE STATISTICS TO DEFEND YOUR ARGUMENT IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THEM.

He is bad, there is basically 0 reasons to pick him, he damage is lower then most assassins, he has no wave clear without losing damage, he has low range, LeBlanc can basically do everything he can do but much safer and more effective.
